@greeninNY Besides The amber / What do your fan leaves look like at This Point should be drooping and yellowing my lower ones on plant 1 were coming off with the slightest tug and notice slight amber on the main cola bud but rest of the buds were cloudy plant was not taking water anymore.

Man. I’m still trying to figure out what “ready” is. I have one of my plants as a pure test subject. Saving two whole plants for a full plant harvest. Trying to wait for amber on week 11? 12? what year is this? Don’t want to miss the window-the last two of my budding plants look happy and green. Foxtails on almost every bud but little To no amber on those two. My test plant had some. What a wild ride.

Great question. I'm in the same boat. My first 2 plants I waited too long for amber trichomes, and they were definitely past their prime by the time I chopped them. I'm chopping the 3rd one this week, ambers or not. Now that I know I'm able to produce enough bud to survive, I'll be more relaxed about using my own judgement. Like somebody said in Live Stoners room, "They're your plants, chop them whenever you want to!"

This is a good a topic / thread to keep going, Ready or Not lol ,
we can only take in so much useful info from the web and apply it our own personal hands on growing experience and share it ,
With that being said if you look at the pictures i just posted notice the smaller sugar leaves are up and perky / while the fan leaves are starting to droop and turn yellow, plant is on the usual watering schedule This is just some thing i'm noticing and watching in my first grow, I wont know until these nuggets are dried /cured and smoked , dam still got some time for that , but we can only learn from our mistakes my friend all our experiences will be different Good Luck, enjoy the ride each one can only get better live and learn !

Lets keep this topic Ready or Not Going as a first time grower im watching for amber seeing very little but them fan leaves are dropping off I am growing 45 % Sativa 5% Indica 50% Ruderails could be the reason I'm not seeing much amber just guessing since Indica state is more amber I don't Know for sure !

yeah man. Thats after the 5+ inches over sun/mon and a half gallon of nutes & molasses for each this morning.

I think I’m still not feeding them enough.

I’m cutting one next week as test plant #2 and then the third a week or two after unless something starts screaming at me. I’m so damn clueless in terms of using the stuff that I’m not a valid voice to judge. I have some friends that agreed to be testers! Ha!

I’ll apply whatever lessons available from this first grow to the second that’s just starting to flower. Hoping my third grow that I just planted will align with me deciding on a solid vape to enjoy the winter!

I think in the spring I’ll repeat the same approach…3-4 plants at a time separated by ~5 weeks trying to get 3-4 cycles for the spring-fall. Goal for next year is to kick ass!

(grabs coat tail before you leave) trichs is what I’m waiting and looking for-I’m considering using a gallon a day for one and keep the other at half.
