Day 14 (3-18-17) Update
Been trying to combat this pH issue, problem is I don't want to over water since I noticed the pH issue like a day after they got their first big watering!
What I've done...
3-16 watered 250ml 6.0 pH
3-17 watered 500ml 6.0 pH
3-18 (today) watered 750ml 5.8 pH
Current...
Temp: 81
RH: 60%
pH: 6.9! : |
TIME LAPSE TIME! (Sorry, grow has been slow so not as exciting as I'd hoped...)
[HASHTAG]#1[/HASHTAG] Jupiter - Still showing the most promise (for now) ...is that a tiny third set leaf trying pop out? IDK looks kinda weird...

[HASHTAG]#2[/HASHTAG] Saturn - Starting to see (barely) growth on the second set of leave, they even or past their cotyledons underneath...so that's...something.

[HASHTAG]#3[/HASHTAG] Mercury - Same thing as Saturn, can barely see second set of leaves growing outwards a bit. Come on little one!

Last but most certainly not least... 4x AutoCobs arrived today! @BigSm0 (thank you!)

(Before, Just MARS 600)

(After, 2 COBS + MARS 600 on)

These things are just crazy bright! Hung 2 so far so they can hopefully adapt a little bit (both COBS at 36"), may take out the MARS in the next 24-48 entirely for the other 2.
So hopefully I can sort through this pH issue soon, I really don't wanna do a flush so early but if I don't see it start to go down in the next few days I'm really gonna worry that it won't be able to suck up the nutes I plan to feed it for the first time in in the next 3-4 days... Guess we'll have to wait and see!
Big thanks to AFN, also @budelee @stepside @jingo @TheMongol and anyone and everyone else keeping the strong and the extra love shown today (Saturday in Live Stoner!)
-NN Out!
Try not to stress too much. AF's are very resilient. Keep up the good work chum..............eP.
@NugNoob
You can help a container you feel you have over watered by tilting it up at an angle and chocking it there. Stick a rock or child's toy in time out or whatever up underneath, just not the dogs favorite toy. Soft pots wont work of course, but good luck overwatering one of them.
Angling the pot significantly decreases the supportable water column in the container and the rest breaks free and will run out the bottom. A couple of hours will usually get it done but over night during the sleep period would be fantastic.
Have you noticed any insects? I had Fungus Gnats sap my seedlings growth to the point of tossing them a month back. Also, I know you're trying to fix a ph issue but I wonder if the juice is worth the squeeze as far as overwatering. At that stage 50-100ml is plenty IMO. And those lights!
It seems the´re a little bit late now....mine at about 2 weeks just bring out 3rd or 4th real 5 fingers leaves...i hope i don´t hanging to much out for my advises here as newbie on AFN... cliff notes ( I learned from you using it for your translations, thanks!)...
1. distance of your MarsHydro..?
2. did you meassured ph and ec/ppm run-in and also run-off..? if I´m stupid, please post it again
3. if you did, how much of run-off did you meassured? like 10..to 15 or 20 /% run-off in comparision..?
4. what about the temp..seriosly, when lights are on, steady at 81 or does it change..?
5. on jupiter, in my opinion i have seen a little bit of burn in the tip of leave on the left side, I´m really so afraid of giving wrong advises, if staff members could look at it....
but at least, at 2 weeks unfortunately the´re, in my opinion a little bit late, but hey......remember as I was late...like i posted..nothing happens over-night express..there will be time ti fix it...tomorow here in country its sunday like holy day and i will have some time, my family is going to be back healhty, I´ll read about YOURS and be back to give more slow overwiew and advise...hopfully you don´t kick me out...
The best advice I ever received was from @Jupiter. Just relax. Lol I used to stress and worked up over crops and their stage at which ever time it was. Snap a picture and in a week snap another and compare. As ep mentioned autos are very resilient. They also finish on their own schedule. In a perfect world with extremely healthy plants they may finish close to the purposed timeframe. If there is an issue like this with the ph the plant may go longer. It will finish when it's ready and when it wants to.
Thank you soooo much for the review and I can't tell you how excited I was to see them drown the tent when they kicked on in the time lapse. Selling the AutoCobs is the most fun thing I have done in my life and reading happy reviews is the most rewarding.
