Update 7 (5-18-17)

Hey, what's good guys? All plants are doing pretty good (at least from my noob point of view). I think Sky is still showing signs of improvement, she isn't perfect but she is on a better track now. My guess is that the roots are reaching out and deeper over the past week or so and soaking up the nutes from the super soil it's finding. Also, I'm sure all that CalMag I've been throwing at them has paid off. I've also picked up G.H. CalMag as it only has 1-0-0 NPK, so it's 1% less Nitrogen than the CalMag I was using by Botnicare previously. I think they were showing signs of too much Nitrogen. Fed them 2 days ago, I skipped the Root Stimulator to avoid some of the Nitrogen as well. Giving them Mammoth P + SM90 + CalMag + Recharge and spraying Optic Foliar Overgrow every 3 days or so. Nightqueen is getting a little frosty ^.^

I would say now my eye is on the Dinafem Critical Jack for growing like an absolute monster, surpassing WW in height and equaling Sky now, of course this comes at a cost... Jackie is showing signs of needing a lot of CalMag.

I've also removed a few leaves here and there, mostly on Nightqueen, either because they are blocking too much light and no way to tuck them or old growth, etc. I never do more than 2 at a time as suggested by some here on AFN.

Again...these Cobs are not to be taken lightly! (pun intended) They are very powerful, which can be really great but also can be too much for these little girls if not closely monitored and handled properly. I've got them raised all the way up, approx 20 inches from the highest growth. I only have 3 running at any given time and I am looking into a dimmer option to help control the intensity, heat, etc. to hopefully alleviate heat stress and lack of CalMag on the next grow. I think I will also try more LST next time to keep them a bit shorter as well.

@jingo @Slater @TheMongol @budelee @Raoul-Duke @Eekman @Frankthetank @sanguine @hippy71@witchyhour @WalterW @stepside and tons more but I gotta run to work... sorry I'm kind of a tag whore sometimes :smoking:

Thanks all for stopping in and for your continued support of this noob!
-NN out!

depending on the driver you use for these COBS you can dimm them down or you have to move them away from the plants. From what i know u mostly see a change in about 2 - 3 hours after you changed the heigt ( you see how the plant streches its leafes to the light or it let its leafes hang down. )

Word. Yeah like I said, I've had these babies maxed out on height for a while now. Like you said if they are dimmable it'll help, I believe they are. Actually @BigSm0 knows if they are dimmable or not! Care to weigh in AutoCob master?

Looks good, man!!!!:d5:
Thanks dude! :d5:

Looking good!! Where u been hiding lately??

Hey man I've been around, sort of... :smoking: But, haven't had a lot of time to chill in stoner chat and stuff like that. I usually only have time to check out and reply to threads I'm subscribed to ya know. Hopefully my work calms down soon... Good to see ya bud!
:vibe:

Hey thanks Jingo! She is fast dude, only 4 days ahead of the Skystomper and she's doing great and has lots of potential still for a lot of bud I think. I know everyone says it, but I am beyond pleased with the Dutch Passion genetics (even though the Think Different seeds I bought didn't work out after 3 tries). Couldn't be happier with the turn out so far! Thanks for your help btw Jingo.

Your tent is looking beautiful NugNoob! Keep it up, it's going to be a flower factory very soon! Any smells coming off the plants yet?

Yes, weed, smells like weed to me lol. Haha, I am not very good with my sense of smell (why my wife is the cook in the family I guess ). But yeah, as soon as you open the door to my office area, good whiff of weed. Open the tent some and yeah, strong weed smell. There is another strong smell I kind of pick up... kind of earthy with maybe a floral hint if that makes sense. IDK. I just hope it has a nice taste in the vape when its all done!

Thanks for coming by Jelly0, you've got a great grow yourself!

Hey Nuggi,
sorry man i was very busy last days...you're doing fine...listen to @L0wbob2017 he's a vast sience and research expert...took a quick look on your well grown ladys, pretty done so far, as you noticed the tips of some plants are showing signs of overfeeding of N and Calmag defs should be done after your weeks of this grow....i use The Nutrient Company CalMag after seeing problems and before and also their Mycoryzha Max...simply the best on the market place...buffering overfed signs...this one leaf is completly burned, if that would be mine garden i would look pretty well at ph and ppm, reduce nutes and lights a little bit and the leafes of your plants will tell how to work it, you're in a very important stage of grow now...kèep on rocking man....but don't understand the other guys here...HEY @jingo HEY @Yeatster where are you guys, busy as...come one and join this party here....battle outdoors?:pass:

COB's get dimmed via the driver, so if the driver hast 1 input from the wall and 1 output to the COB's it is mostly like that it is not dimmable. ( Some drivers got a "dimm" option build inside and you can adjust it with a screwdriver but thats not a real "dimm" option. It is more like limiting the max output from the driver and you cant dimm as low as you could with a driver with an external dimm option. )

If the driver has 2 outputs, then 1 output goes to the COB's and 1 output goes to for example a potentiometer. Then you can dimm the COB's from 100% down to 10% light output. ( Some drivers may be different, also depending on what way you use to dimm the COB's you can end with different results )
