New Grower Newbie Autoflower Grow (autopot)

Hi Everyone … I am getting ready to start the Autopot system for my two Dark Devils on Friday they will be 20 days old and transplanted them into the 3.9 gallon pot on the 8th of Jan. I have attached an inline shut off valve on all the plants as recommended but also because I know that the lemon haze is 5 days and the tangerine dream is 8 days behind the Dark Devils and they wont be on the system until their time of 20 days.

I have a question .... I have the air domes in each of the pots. I also have 3 different air pumps as I am an aquarist as well. I am not just not sure which one to use? I have one that is 12 l/m, one that is 40 l/m and one that is 70 l/m. I also have a 4 x air valve so that the I can get air to each of the pots. I checked the websites UK and USA of the autopot and I cant find info on how many litres per minutes is recommended.

I will send an update on the plants this evening as I have had some challenges this past week .. between power outage and the weather going from really cold one day to really warm the next .. it was hard to control the temp .. I noticed that the fluctuation cause some leaf damage and this morning I noticed also that the tips on one of the plants are going brown on the edges.. I am thinking its because of the fluctuation of heat. I noticed a couple of times this past week the temps went up to 86 F while I was at work... left in the morning the temps were 76 come home at the end of the day and they were at 86 GRRR. I am thinking of adding some C02 (diy) because of this but not sure.

i think ive heard something along the lines of..."blast as much air at them as ya can"so id go for the big one

hi @archie gemmill … I will use the bigger one ..

hi @lunarman I have a regulator on it where I can turn it to low and up to a high setting. I have been turning it up and down based on the weather but there was a couple of days I wasn't able to come home for lunch and that was when it hit 86 degrees.. then when the power went out for several hours another day it was cold out and the temps went down to 61
I will attach picture of the dark devil leaf and lemon haze … Lemon Haze looks like she took it hard … .. DD seems to be thriving as she definitely growing and bushing out and it affected her first set of true leaves

oh right. I forgot about the power outage. But still, a temp controller on the exhaust is better than a speed controller in pretty much any situation I would think.

hi @lunarman .. I just ordered it .. even paid for 2 day shipping ..it will be here by Friday .. OMG thank you so much for your help .. I thought you meant the controller on the exhaust fan …

Sorry the DD are on Day 17 and Lemon Haze are on Day 12 .. I will remember to add the days when I post pics ..

Those plants look pretty good for their age. That Lemon Haze for day 12 is great. Looks like you got thru the first 10 days in good shape and going to be good after 20 days too. Well done so far!

And I do mean the controller on the exhaust fan. There are two kinds of controllers. One type controls the speed of the fan, and the fan is usually always on, and you just speed it up or down based on what you need. That is the kind I used for a while. Archie and others got me thinking I needed to switch to the other type of controller, which is a temp thermostat type like that Inkbird. That controller will run the speed at full, but it only runs when it gets above the temperature you set and then it turns off. So you want the temp kind, not speed kind. What kind do you have now? I'm confused on what you have now.

Also watch your RH in the tent once you switch. With the speed kind you were probably exhausting humidity out all the time. With the temp controller type it will not exhaust humidity all the time. So your RH might be higher when you change and you might need to reduce the RH on your humidifier. So just watch your RH once you change the controller.

I just did some research on these and I think in the long run it will help me out .... cant help the power outages but I think it might ease my mind when i am traveling for work, the crazy winter we are having here and with the Optic 6 lights I have .. I am thinking it will help regulate the temperature with the heater and fan …
