New Grower Newbie Autoflower Grow (autopot)

The only reason I can think of that would cause the ppm to rise like that is evaporation. Maybe it’s dry where you are? The other reasons would be ppm meter errors.

HI @davisgirl .. Yes it is really dry here right now .. I have two humidifiers going in the tent to keep the humidity up to 60-65% .. One humidifier wasn't doing it .. today we are having a storm and I find its a lot drier so I had to put a bucket of what with a towel hanging to keep the humidity up ….
TDS meter is brand new .. I purchased another one though as a back up .. It should be here in athe next couple of days .. so I will have to check with that one too...

thank you for your impute...

Ah...well the dryness explains it then.

Take your time with the transplanting. I get nervous doing it myself and I almost have to meditate while I'm doing it. Slowandeasy on AFN says transplanting is good. And he knows grow. and I've never had an issue with the way we do it with the solo cups in to autopots. Good luck.

Hi @lunarman .. I transplanted the DD this morning. It went very smoothly. All the Coco stayed together .. there was massive roots and they looked really good .. all nice and white .. Thank you for your advice on how to transplant .. I will now just keep an eye on them …

Glad to hear that went smoothly! It does get easier too. Once you are on the autopots irrigation and reservoir you'll be a lot less hands off. You might even get bored!

So for manually watering for the next 10 days you want to water around the outside edge of the plants outer leaves. And use that meter before you water every time. Put it around the plant at 4 different points and again on the outside of the leaf line. And put it in at different depths so you can see where the moisture is. If you're getting a reading where its just starting to get in the red/dry section then its time to water.

Also what height is your light at?

Sorry I meant to add you should have a cup of coco on hand and have it well watered so its moist on the meter. Before you check your pots with the meter, put it in the cup with coco and confirm the reading has it at moist. I have seen some times where the meter kind of reads dry but its really wet. I found the way to get rid of that from happening is to get the meter in to a moist cup. That kind of resets the meter. I recommend this just in case you were not getting an accurate reading from the meter because it has some materials on the probe or something.

I have the lights at 45" now … I brought them down a few inches.. I didn't want to bring them down to low because I have the lemon haze and the tangerine dream which is still small .. I just looked at them when I came home from work and they are all praying to the light ..

Thank you for you tip about the meter ..

Hi Everyone … I am getting ready to start the Autopot system for my two Dark Devils on Friday they will be 20 days old and transplanted them into the 3.9 gallon pot on the 8th of Jan. I have attached an inline shut off valve on all the plants as recommended but also because I know that the lemon haze is 5 days and the tangerine dream is 8 days behind the Dark Devils and they wont be on the system until their time of 20 days.

I have a question .... I have the air domes in each of the pots. I also have 3 different air pumps as I am an aquarist as well. I am not just not sure which one to use? I have one that is 12 l/m, one that is 40 l/m and one that is 70 l/m. I also have a 4 x air valve so that the I can get air to each of the pots. I checked the websites UK and USA of the autopot and I cant find info on how many litres per minutes is recommended.
