Day 79. It’s so hot this week hope it doesn’t hurt the plant. It’s getting really frosty. Figured I’ll check the trichomes in 3 days and see where we are. I figured soonest I’ll harvest would be 11 days or so

Day 80. Ok so I’m still getting some browning leafs and some of it is getting closer the the bigger colas now. So should I harvest soon just to make sure the bud is still good or am I still good to wait awhile. Some of the trichomes are clear but some are still cloudy. Just don’t want to lose what I already have.

Hell, just my 2 cents worth(which isn't much) Haha...they look to be in pretty damn good shape for 80, in any book. Those are healthy buds, RELAX. Nice job!!

Let it ride, looks like you're almost there. All the brown in your pictures is trim from what I can see, buds look fine.

Day 81. Here are some more pictures. Today I pulled some fan leaves off and trimmed some dying/dead stems off. Hope that doesn’t shock the plant to much. She doesn’t seem to be getting much more frost on her hoping for a bit more swell of the bud but doubt I’ll get much more in size. Just focused on keeping her alive tell harvest time

Day 82. Plucked some more fan leafs today. It’s starting to smell super strong and everyday more of the milky trichomes are clearing up. So shouldn’t be to much longer now.

Ok so I was wondering. I get that the letting the trichomes clear up or turn amber effects the thc of the bud. Now the question is how much does it effect the high from cloudy/clear/amber? Also if you do harvest cloudy is the bud still good to smoke? I’m just wondering in cause I gotta harvest to move to my new place if everything isn’t clear how it will effect quality.

Day 84. A lot of the white hairs are turning red and the trichomes are looking good I think. Need a better magnifier.

Clear>cloudy>amber

cloudy is done for sativa dominant or a more active effect. Amber is better for Indica dominant or more sedative effect. The more sedative you want, the more Amber you need, the more activity you want the more cloudy. If you really want to be active get some clear and cloudy. I generally go for full cloudy on my sativas and 20% to 50% Amber on my indicas. I will sometimes Harvest an indica when it's clear for more of a sativa like effect.

Ok this should be my last question I should have to ask before harvesting. I’ve read some people turn out the light a few days before harvest. Is that something I should do or does it make a difference?
