New Grower New grower vast and vast auto

I've quit looking at the trichomes on Autos, but my favorite Loop is one that has a 30 x and a 60 x magnification. I mainly stopped because I can't see them clear enough unless I take a bud right off the plant and set it down on a table. I guess my eyes are just getting too old.

So how do you judge when to harvest?

lopes have such a narrow focal point or something or other they can be tricky.
this was 99p and its fantastic for me gone upto 1..99 now....i dont take pics though cause a round pic just looks stupid to me.
IMG_2984.JPG

the black knob slides in and out its not zoom its the focus, adjust it once and never touch again.the orange line is the focal point the plastic guide.set up the focus in the living room and never touch it again.if what you looking at is flush with the orange line will be picture perfect.
i look at the head of the trichs clear,cloudy,amber...when i see an amber trich i cut,i do like a more head high though.
good luck.
:pighug:

I watch for when the calyx's swell up nice and fat. By that time their pistils will be shrunk back to little Nubs and brown. When I'm growing an Indica strain I can often see the change in color of the bud as the trichomes go to Amber. When I Grow sativa strains as soon as the calyx is getting nice and swollen with the pistils died back there ready.

Not sure if you can tell from these pictures but about how long do you think I still have?

Looking at those pictures I could only get an idea from one or two of them, I would say you've got two full weeks and maybe more. That's not to say you won't get some good quality smoke, it's just they're not quite mature.

I can't find my little Mark up app. But, I've taken a picture of a plant that I started on Clearwater yesterday. And I'm going to chop in two days. You can see in the photo that the calix's are nice and fat they almost look like there's a seed and the pistils have all died back to where they're very small. Actually most of the pistils are inside that calyxs.

Should I be still feeding them or nutes? Or should I cut them to straight water now?

I would still be hitting them with the bloom nutrients. I'm not sure how long you would want to flush I do 3 days because that's what general hydroponics recommends in Coco. I found that's pretty good, really.

Day 77. Everything is looking and smelling good. Can’t wait to finally see how the finish product turns out. Idk how much fatter these buds are gonna get but they are pretty swollen now. My Fiancé loves to stand by me while I take pics and smell the plant lol she’s been naming the big colas lol. The biggest one is Clairese and the next biggest is Doug lol just thought everyone might get a kick out of that.
