New Grower Natures Living Soil first Grow.

Not much change. Raised lights, so I know plants are growing. Maintaining a height of 20" as per MarsHydro recommendations. Bronze spots still present. A couple smaller (lower under canopy) are toast. Have yet to definitively identify problem. Most likely self inflicted due to ignorant exuberance(over feeding). Rainwater only, every other day since 2/23 when I watered til run-off to check PH (it was 6.3). Will continue with water only AS WAS MY ORIGINAL INTENTION FROM THE BEGINNING. @Proph & @pop22 thank you for your continued support.

The ugly

We may have to do some brainstorming on those "ugly" issues.. It's starting to spread pretty quickly and you've still got several weeks to go. Are those pics of one plant or both? Is one worse than the other?

I'm off the opinion that the worst is over, his plants need time to respond. I've been following his pics and I think it has halted now. Let's see in a couple days.

The pics and his words actually say that it's spreading, and getting worse. Im not saying something needs to be added.. Im just saying it's time to brainstorm about what the issue/s may be. There's still about a month left to go. Will the plants make it to harvest? Im sure they will. But deficient weed from sick plants won't be quality meds. It's just personally a pet peeve of mine. But if he's fine with it, Im fine with it.

I think it may be easier if I memorialize the timeline so we are all on the same page. I will also separate posts to be plant specific. Summary in next post.

How does your new growth look? What is your tap water like? It maybe an option to switch.

The one thing I do see is a little tip burn on most new leaves. Not super important by itself, but combined with the spots, it's telling.

When issues first started, over feeding was a possibility due to my aggressive approach of adding teas & top dressing to a "water only SuperSoil". I watered til run-off and tested ph(6.4 rainwater going in, 6.3 runoff), so we were able to see if soil ph was off. That was last Tuesday 2/23. Gave each plant 1/2 gal of rainwater every other day since. It IS progressing and GSC is following GG. While I've been educating myself and thinking this thru, I recall a comment from @WildBill thread that he was going to use tap water for his next watering for the minerals, I believe calcium is what he referred to(I could be mistaken). Nonetheless, That made me think about the 15ppm rainwater I use. I then contacted NLS and they asked if I used FF soil(yes) and/or distilled/ro water and suggested calmag def. So AGAIN I look up pics of calmag def and this last pic in this post appears to be close to what I was looking at. The older plant didn't present in the same way, but is similar now. Is it possible that BOTH over-feeding AND early calmag was present, and the water only for the last week minimized the one and presented more traditionally in the second plant?

That is what led to the over feeding thoughts and the layered soil discussion previously. In consult, a course of action was to stop everything and LIFTA.

I would like good meds for sure. Your input IS desired. I'm a "it takes a village" kind of guy.

I went back for the cal/mag in my tap water that runs 180ppm.
