Hello guys

This is my first grow and I know I'm being optimistic by growing in nft but I like no mess.

I've got a room within a room in the loft, celotex'd the roof and built a room also with black and white on the walls.

so a room within a room so I can control temps better in summer and winter
I'll also be extracting through the chimney.

The kit I'll be growing with is a 6ft multicduct nft with a 125 litre resiviour.

6 rvk inch extraction.
4 rvk inch intake both with oversized acoustic ducting and homemade
2 ram fans.
Rhino charcoal filter.
2 600w hps lights with euro reflectors and ballasts.

I also have a ph pen and blue lab ec truncheon.

Nutes I will be using are canna for recirculating systems.

I'm up to day 4 now popped my seeds using the paper towel technique with ph'd 5.5 water on a heat Matt with great success.

Transplanted the seeds to small rockwool cubes left overnight in ph'd 5.5 water.

I put them in my groom on day 2 but 1 or 2 plants are now shaking problems.

Hoping someone can advise.

I have lights at about 30 inches, was thinking that 600w of light might try these baby's.

Also have them in a dome to keep hungry up for now.

I found a clear dome under my 600W got too hot so I put an opaque plastic food container over it which lowered temps and seem to act as a big diffuser which reduced stretch.

Good luck bud....sounds like we have similar setups with the room within the loft and running NFT. NFT and autos is a barrel of laughs.....light the fuse and enjoy the ride:rofl:

What height did you have your lights mate?

And think I'll try that cheers....yeh looking forward to it! Heard many a tale haha

Too far lol......I've been starting new seeds before old plants have finished dictating light height so my HPS has always been pretty far away from newly germinated seedlings. Well over a metre.

I'm going to buy a t5 strip light so I can them real close for next time around like....ill monitor them, gona give them a water later on, how did your seedling cope with less humidity?

I had domes over each seedling until they got to the top of the dome and then rather than exhaust to outside I exhaust into the attic and run a humidifier to try to keep humidity up.

Spraying water on surfaces around the seedlings seems to help give humidity a bump too....I was spraying inside the dome to start with.

Bit closer than I've run at that stage but what is the temp under the dome? I'd like to run closer but trees get in the way lol. I have a journal in the indoor growing section if you want an idea of, hopefully, what you can expect.
