Update on the Original OG Kush auto from FastBuds. Today is day 13 since sprouting. It looks to me like her 4th node is starting to grow out. So @Vapo I will top the plant above the 4th node? I know you told me but I forgot. Here are a couple pics from this morning.

I am nearing the time when I have to make a choice. Top my Original OG Kush auto and train it or let it grow au natural like I normally do. I've been studying hard trying to learn how the experienced growers do it and although not totally confident I think it's time for this bird to spread his wings and fly. I might not do it all right but I'm going to give topping and training a go. My plan right now is to wait until the 5th node starts to grow out and top the plant above the fourth node. I will then remove the first and second nodes leaving me with nodes 3 and 4 to work with.

The plant today is at sprout +14 days. She still seems small to me but I can definitely see her growing. Hopefully she will have a growth spurt sometime in the near future. I feel like time is becoming an issue to get her topped and her training started.

Hope everyone is having a great day. Enjoy the rest of your week.

Loooking good

Okay I flipped a coin and made the executive decision to tackle topping and training full on with this OG Kush auto plant. What I have been reading says that the lower nodes, specifically nodes 1 and 2 rob the upper part of the plant of energy. So since I am wanting nodes 3 and 4 to fully develop I decided to go ahead and carefully remove nodes 1 and 2 along with the cotyledon. I used a pair of nearly new trimming scissors that I cleaned very well with alcohol first and then made my cuts. What I am left with now is node 3 which is pretty well developed/established and node number 4 which is getting bigger each day. With the plant being 14 days post sprout today I think time may be running out. But I feel like if I don't try I don't learn. Here are a couple photos of what's left of my plant after surgery. :nono: I hope I didn't screw it up too badly.

Please chime in and share your thoughts. Did I screw it up completely? Will it maybe survive? Or did I do just right and things will be golden? I value your opinions.

she'll be fine ;) ppp

I once left my plants for like 3 weeks without watering or extraction. You’ll be fine! I got a pretty good harvest in the end also. Lucky she was in veg!

Anytime between 14-20/21 days and you'll be F I N E...give her a couple of days to give yourself some room to work with on the stalk:toke:
