New Grower My First AFN Journal ~~Original OG Kush auto in 15 gallon pot~~ Stop in and Say hello!

Update on the Original OG Kush auto for 3/19/21 at sprout +16 days. I was afraid I might have ruined my chances to top this plant OR might have ruined her entirely by removing nodes 1 and 2 perhaps too early. I just checked her out closely this afternoon and I am seeing the beginning the 5th node starting. In the first photo the large leave facing right and left are node 3. The smaller leaves in the center are the 4th node and even though these have not spread but a little the next node is already forming. I'm hoping to be able to top her within a week. I am noticing her posture has improved from the day after node removal surgery. Her leaves have perked up really well. Here are a couple pics.

Mostly daily update for my FastBuds Original OG Kush Auto. Today is day 17 post sprout. If anyone has been following along a few days ago I removed nodes 1 and 2 and perhaps did so too early, I'm not sure. My sincere hope was to be able to top this girl above the 4th node on or prior to day 20 post sprout. So she has a bit of growing to do to help me achieve my goal for her. Looking at her growth the last couple days I believe she can make it in time. I think next auto that I grow I will wait until the plant IS ready to be topped before removing nodes 1 and 2 and then wait three or four days before topping her. Of course this is all guesswork on my part mixed with some good reasoning. I'm thinking leaving nodes 1 and 2 on till it's time to top the plant provides her with more panels to absorb more light thus helping her grow faster and healthier.

Anyway that's just me thinking out loud. Here are the photos I took a few minutes ago. Hope everyone has a great weekend!!

This morning I topped the Original OG Kush auto. So now I have nodes 3 and 4 with which to work. I think there is a strong likelihood that this is going to be a pretty small plant. And that's okay because I learned a valuable lesson with this plant.

Update for 3/23/21 for the Original OG Kush Auto by FastBuds

Her growth appears to finally be taking off some. As I mentioned yesterday I did get her topped above the 4th node. So now I guess I have to wait till her branches are big enough to start training to grow horizontal towards the edge of the pot. I have a feeling though she will start flowering before she reaches the pot edge. We'll see what happens with her. A couple pics from today. I am enjoying this solitary thread. A kind of diary if you will. Please excuse the color in the one photo. My QB light tends to do that to pictures.

A couple weeks ago when I planted my Original OG Kush auto I also planted a Sour Orange Livers auto from Mephisto. The two were going to be roommates sharing the 2x4 tent with both in 15 gallon pots. Well unfortunately the Sour Orange Livers did not meet my requirements to keep growing in one of my tents. Damn thing died so I had to replace it. I chose to start a seed, another of my crosses which I have yet to grow out. So I am excited to see what she produces. This cross is a combination of Quarter Pounder auto from Canuk Seeds and Dark Devil auto from Sweet Seeds. Here she is at sprout +11 days. I will be topping this plant also but I will not be removing any nodes until the plant is ready to be topped. I will then remove her two bottom nodes, wait and week, and then top her. Or maybe the other way around. Not sure if it makes a difference or not.

Update Wednesday 3/24/21
Today the plant is at sprout +21 days

Although the side branches on the 3rd node are short (2" long) I have begun training them now as I believe they will never be more pliable or this easy to bend again. As they grow my plant is to keep moving the bamboo sticks towards the edge of the pot and adding more sticks if needed to keep the branches horizontal. The plant continues to have really nice color and I am getting the feeling it is ready to start growing with more vigor. Feeding now is with 4.5 grams of MC per gallon which is where it will most likely stay.
