DAY 12
Temp: 79
My little sweetie seems to be growing great! I have not moved the light, and have not watered as the coco still seems moist. I just check on her a few times a day and let her do her thing
Light is 36" above her on 60%...PAR is fluctuating around 250.
A PAR meter measures the quantity of light your plant is getting....but not the quality. Since I am using a MarsHydro TSW2000, I am assuming the quality is rather good.
PAR/PPFD RANGES:
200-400 Seedlings, clones
400-600 Early to late Veg
600-900 Flowering
Yeah, PAR is a little low on her, but I am taking it slow and cautious as this is a new light and I boo-boo'd and burned my last lady. Live and learn!
I have always topped, done LST by tying the plant down, and messed around with them. I think this grow I am just going to let her do her thing, and put up her stability net within the week. I will tuck a few leaves here and there and keep under the net clean and tidy of dead matter once in flower, but that will be it for this grow. No topping or bondage
I did read this by the MASTER George, and it has me rethinking my leaf removal method:
From the Growers Bible by Jorge Cervantes:
Leave leaves alone! Removal of healthy leave hacks up a healthy plant. Removing large or shade leaves DOES NOT make plants more productive. This practice DOES NOT supply more light to smaller leaves and growing tips. Plants need all their leaves to produce the maximum amount of chlorophyll and food. Removing leaves slows chlorophyll production, stresses the plant, and stunts its growth. Stress is a growth inhibitor. Once in FLOWER, remove only dead leaves or leaves that are more than 50 percent damaged." OK George, we will give that a shot this go around.
