DAY 7
Temp: 82

Little lady is doing great!! Poor baby had a rough beginning :frowny:

She is now being being dunk fed daily in distilled water, 4g/G MC, 1g/G RAW NPK Ind. B-Vit (mag/sulphur) coming out at 600ppm, diluted down to 300ppm~ pH'd to 5.9. All of my distilled gallons have Mosquito Dunks crumbled in them to protect my babies from little critters right from the start.

I got a little nervous as I saw a white substance on the Riot, but was told it was probably just good bennies from the Mykos
I sprinkled all over it when she first went into it. Whew!

She is currently sitting 3-4" under a 96w T5 light at 6,000 lux/154 ppfd. I will replant her on day 14 into the 2.2 gallon pot and put her in the big girls tent. I must admit, I am a little concerned as the MarsHydro TSW2000 is a lot stronger than the T5. I am going to keep my eye on lux at canopy, and just do the best I can. I have done some math, and this is what I came up with for my particular light spectrum.

DAY 9

Lady is growing every day! I am so proud of her. She is being dunk fed same mixture as before (1G distilled water, 4g/G MC, and 1g/G RAW NPK Ind. B-Vit) diluted down to 300ppm & pH'd to 5.9. As she gets older I now need to dunk her a little more often.

Today I think I will replant her into a 2.2G autopot and put her in big girls tent. Her leaves are WELL past the sides of the cup.
I always dread this part...they do so well in the baby veg tent, and moving them out makes me nervous.
But...I have to for her well being.

Wish me (and her) luck!!

XOXO
Mom

Hi! Booring info ahead

I have been using a lux meter app on my phone, then trying to calculate the results to PAR. First of all, holding my phone over my plant is a no no. (don't ask) Second, I suck at math, and then every website gives me a different answer. When I do hold it flat over my plant, I cant see the screen. If I tilt my phone to be able to see it, the numbers change. What a pain in my arse!!

I then watched this video about lumens/lux vs PAR, and went "oops" :nono:
Why do I need a PAR Meter? - YouTube
No WAY I can't afford a $250+ meter! Good lord!!

Then I was talking to a friend of mine no longer grows, and he mentioned he had a Quantum PAR Meter he would sell
to me for $30 bucks! Whoot! I have always wanted to measure by PAR not lux....I am so excited!!
:joy:

I got this one that hooks up to my phone PPFD app by bluetooth. Loving it!

DAY 10
Temp: 79

Well, my lady was transplanted into her 2.2G autopot last night. I watered her in with about 1cup of feed, not my usual 1L.
(The pot was still a little moist from my last grow failure! :frowny: )
I used same feed~ 4g/G Mega Crop & 1g/G NPK Ind. RAW B-VIT....diluted down to 300ppm and pH'd to 5.9.
20 hrs later and she seems to be doing just fine. The new Mars Hydro TSW2000 is about 36" above her, on 50% power. I will watch her stretch and reaction to the light closely. Her first set of leaves are missing a part on each side, how strange.
I think she will be OK :joy:

I had some similar issues which I attributed to Ca/B, but I think ultimately was due to high pH (causing lock-out of those).

That doesn't look too bad, so I suspect it will grow through it just fine.

Here's what it looks like when it gets really bad:

DAY 12
Temp: 79
Light: 36" and at 50% power

My little sweetie seems to be growing great! I have not moved the light, and have not watered as the coco still seems moist. I just check on her a few times a day, rotate her pot, and let her do her thing

A PAR meter measures the quantity of light your plant is getting....but not the quality. Since I am using a MarsHydro TSW2000, I am assuming the quality is rather good. Light is 36" above her on 60%...PAR is fluctuating around 250.

PAR/PPFD RANGES:
200-400 Seedlings, clones
400-600 Early to late Veg
600-900 Flowering

Yeah, PAR is a little low on her, but I am taking it slow and cautious as this is a new light and I boo-boo'd and burned my last lady. Live and learn! :frowny:

Little girl is sprouting her 5th node. I might top her at the third, and start to bondage her down. GULP!!!

My friend gave me a little goodie out of his pile of growing items he no longer uses. WHOOT!
Hey, one mans trash is another mans treasure

He had a ThermoPro Hygrometer. It is so cool. Its 2 pieces...the base goes inside the tent, (advertised to go outside
your house so you can monitor the weather. Heck no, mine is monitoring the big girls tent ) and you can put the reader wherever you want. No more letting out heat every time I open up the tent to check temp and humidity.
I can just glance over at the reader. I dig it!!

Tent is 81 degrees, and RH 51.
Livingroom is 72 degrees, and RH 64.

I did read this by the MASTER George, and it has me rethinking my leaf removal method:

From the Growers Bible by Jorge Cervantes:
Leave leaves alone! Removal of healthy leave hacks up a healthy plant. Removing large or shade leaves DOES NOT make plants more productive. This practice DOES NOT supply more light to smaller leaves and growing tips. Plants need all their leaves to produce the maximum amount of chlorophyll and food. Removing leaves slows chlorophyll production, stresses the plant, and stunts its growth. Stress is a growth inhibitor. Once in FLOWER, remove only dead leaves or leaves that are more than 50 percent damaged." OK George, we will give that a shot this go around.

Every time I say this. Every time I get out the clippers. I like a well trimmed bush
