I think you're right in starting to increase the PPFD - they're looking strong enough for it.

Hi hon, thank you!! My babies get fed with 2g/G MegaCrop from the day they sprout. I start to dunk/bottom feed their cups once they show their pretty heads. This lasts for about 7-10 days till they start to outgrow their cup.

When they outgrow the cup, they get transplanted into a 2.2G autopot and get top fed 1L of 3g/G MegaCrop every 4 days or so....until I turn on the automatic reservoir at about day 17-20. (Which I hope to do tomorrow, weeeeeeee!!)

I burned my plant before her, so I am turning up the light ohhhh so slowly out of fear! LOL

Do you have a smart phone if so you can get an app that reads the PPFD of your lights. It is reputed to be quite accurate if you calibrate it properly It is called "Photone" it was free? I have had it for about a month. I like it.

Hi hon!! I was using (2) apps on my phone, but was having trouble reading the results from the light glare....and every
time I moved my phone to see it better the results changed. Also, each app was giving me different readings!
I had a friend that now grows outside sell me his Hydrofarm Quantum PAR meter for just a few bucks. Cant beat that.
I adore it!

Last night I filled the rez with 3 gallons dechlorinated tap water, 9grams of 1part MegaCrop (3g/G), 1.5grams of magnesium/sulfur (.5g/G), 6ml Hydroguard (2ml/G) and I dropped in a Mosquito Dunk. ph'd to 6.0, PPM 550. I top fed the lady 1L of the mixture to start the wicking action, and turned it on. This morning 12hrs later I can already see great growth, BAM!!

I think today I will start a little LST and start to get those 2 main branches open and down.

Very cool! Then the idea is to get your plants 42 DLI. There are lots of DLI calculators on the web that will take your LUX meter input, and give you the PPFD.

Good Morning
Right now I am running about 350PPFD at lights on 24/0, which gives me about 30.2DLI...so I am right in the range I am supposed to be in, I think! I really LOVE the Quantum PAR meter my friend gave me. I don't have to do all the math and calculations to get to the PPFD I have found that cannabis adores light, and can take a lot more than many plants. They are light hungry beasts! LOL. I love growing. It is a never ending learning experience.

Dr. Bugbee (22.28) says you can push to 60DLI by flower....what are your thoughts on that?

Happy October Peeps!

Well, rez is on autopilot and the little lady seems to be liking it. pH 5.9/PPM 650. The rez did jump
to pH 6.2 as of this morning, but I lowered it back down. I didnt turn up the PAR today as I see a
"very oh so slight" curling of her leaves. I had a few landscaping staples, so I used them to gently open
up her 2 main branches.

Other than that not much to report today....content watching my lady grow, and I am very proud
of her for being so big and healthy at just a wee 19 days old.

Already? I avoided topping mine for my current (first) grow, because I wasn't quite sure when to top...

And by that, I mean, the nodes were too small for me to count with the plants that young. Because I'm now so old, I need reading glasses...stay off my lawn!!

IF you are going to top, then best to do it within the first 21 days. Just my 2 pence.
