Ph'd the rez to 5.8-9. Woke up to 6.4. WTH?? I can see lady slightly suffering with light leaves and a spot here and there. (ph and ppm are the same in the base as in the rez) I am going to have to top feed lady a few days while I do some testing with the rez....grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Off to the store to get bottled distilled.

So, I went to CVS and picked up a few gallons of Gold Emblem Purified Water. (They were out of "DISTILLED")
I was checking the labels of some of the different brands, and you have to be careful....some have added sodium and/or calcium. Hmmmmm.

Anyhoo, this water has a PPM 7 and pH of 7. A little higher pH than the distilled/RO water I am used to, but it will do for now. Mixed up a gallon of this water with 3g MegaCrop, (nothing else added for now), pH'd it down to 5.9 and turned the rez back on.

I will check it in the morning and see how much it drifted. Fingers crossed.

My lady is starting to get stinky, I love it!!

Well, I filled the rez with the CVS Purified water and 3g/G MegaCrop and nothing else. The pH this morning was 6.1. Not bad I guess. I am NOT trusting this pH meter I have...I dont know why, I just dont. So, I asked my friend if he had any in his stock, and he said he had a Blue Lab pH meter he could sell me cheap. When I get it, I will calibrate properly and go from there. I did pull a few yellow crummy leaves off her bottom. Ouch, poor baby.

One thing I noticed~ Without tap water and all the other stuff in the rez it smells fresher. Not that "funky" smell I usually get.

Looking pretty good today with just RO water and Mega Crop. pH is holding at around 5.9, and ppm is 400...I did lower the PPM as I think I went a little fast. I do see some tip burn, but not sure. I pulled off some lower dead yellow leaves and she seems to be looking a touch better. I hope I nipped this one in the bud, errrrr...so to speak!


I will keep my eye on what is going on, but I guess bottom line is...I will have to use RO water only for this grow. But, this mom is getting to old to be lugging 20+ gallons of water home from the store all the time! So I contacted Culligan Water here in Mass, and I am going to have (4) Five Gallon jugs of purified RO water delivered to my front door every month. Cost is very reasonable, and they throw in a free water cooler/heater dispenser for free.

NOTE: Ladies are not as light green as they appear. Damn flash.

I was comparing this grow to one I did a year or so ago...my Gorilla Shizzle auto ladies. Oh lord, no topping, no LST...and they got out of control! I am glad mine are smaller this time. Most want big plants, oh....heck no. I just want nice buds when this is all done!

Rez up to 6.0, but that's OK... and all is looking good. Not much to report this morning. Just seeing new growth
in her every day, and I love it so much. Will keep my eye for any new light green leaves or burned tips.

This was my Gorilla OG grow at the same age. I didn't top the below plant, and JUST started to LST her in this pic, and I know NOW that it was way to late in the game. I admit....it did scare me to screw with my current plant so early, BUT...I can definitely see the difference with aggressive LST and aggressive topping right from the beginning. Not sure how this current grow is going to "end up" but I am liking what I see so far. I was so afraid of tall jungle beasts again!
