Happy October Peeps!

Well, rez is on autopilot and the little lady seems to be liking it. pH 5.9/PPM 650. The rez did jump
to pH 6.2 as of this morning, but I lowered it back down. I didnt turn up the PAR today as I see a
"very oh so slight" curling of her leaves. I had a few landscaping staples, so I used them to gently open
up her 2 main branches.

Other than that not much to report today....content watching my lady grow, and I am very proud
of her for being so big and healthy at just a wee 19 days old.

Exactly. Autoflowers have such a short life compared to photoperiod plants...I think we should top a little earlier.

Good Morning
Right now I am running about 350PPFD at lights on 24/0, which gives me about 30.2DLI...so I am right in the range I am supposed to be in, I think! I really LOVE the Quantum PAR meter my friend gave me. I don't have to do all the math and calculations to get to the PPFD I have found that cannabis adores light, and can take a lot more than many plants. They are light hungry beasts! LOL. I love growing. It is a never ending learning experience.

Dr. Bugbee (22.28) says you can push to 60DLI by flower....what are your thoughts on that?

Yes, I was thinking of going 20/4 for a while now. Even though they are autoflowers, I feel that the rest period may be good for them. Hmmmmm.....

I had the same thoughts on time and rest. I can smell them off gas when the lights turn on or off. I was at 18,should I flip it back to 20? Oh and not to hijack your thread, can you use a clear cup? I thought it was bad for the roots to have light.

Hi!! You are not hijacking sweetheart, ask away, I love it!

I have always been 24/0 lights on....I have NO idea what is best, but I figured I would at LEAST try 20/4.

What I do is plant in the clear plastic cup, then put it in a foam coffee cup for stability. The clear cup allows me to take it out, watch it dunk feed to a certain level, and be able to see when the roots are getting to big for the cup. Then when it goes back in the tent it is protected inside the coffee cup. I have not had an issue yet and I love the clear cups. Actually, this grow I ran out of clear solo cups, so I had to use a purple solo cup and didnt like it. Being able to see "inside" the cup when it drinks is cool, and I can see the root development. I have to get some more plastic cups for my next grow

Opened the tent this morning to a little lady who had outgrown her bondage!! This little plant has some will to live I will
tell you. I re-pinned her down, and other than that nothing to report this morning Rez is holding a pH of 5.9, tent is running 80 degrees, and all seems well.

to put in the greenhouse I can't get to germ. I'm in that growers FUNK that I can't seem to get out of right now.

Hi, its good to see you friend!!! Oh lordie, I had such a hard time when I first started this thread, I lost so many seeds.

Lady is getting larger, however, I am concerned about the rez pH swinging badly. I pH down to 5.8 or 5.9, and by the next day the sucker is back up to 6.2. I do see some light discoloration on her lower/older leaves, and worried it might be this swing. Soooo....I cleaned out the rez and filled it with just 2 gallons of dechlorinated tap water and 6 grams of Mega Crop, then pH'd it down to 5.9. Nothing else...no Hydroguard, no Mosquito dunk, nothing. Lets see what happens.
