Grow Mediums Mom's AutoCob, AutoPot, AutoMazar, MegaCrop Grow :-)

Thank you so much! I might be better off starting with my Platinum- P-300, then switching to my Roleadro at the end of the grow. I've got 4 cob's on, had them all on the entire grow, it has two switches, is two cob's enough for one plant? I don't have one of those fancy light meters. OH-MY , not my thread, but thanks.
One cob per plant will do, two is plenty. Go to the App Store and buy the lux meter app. Check what lumens you have at the canopy level using the app and I can help you dial in the intensity levels.

The P-300 is more than enough to veg a 4x4 area at about 60-65 inches I think...but I think that's about right.
Get the app and check the canopy, then I can go from there and help you get is all straight.

Good luck! I will be waiting if you just want to PM me instead of hijacking Mom's thread!

Sorry about that Mom!

Here is the light that I have. I haven't had a perfectly healthy plant from start to finish under it, I've always had Ca-Mag or other deficiencies pop up in late Veg to early flower. I thought that it was more due to my inexperience of growing than the light itself but it's entirely possible that some part of the spectrum is not agreeing with them.

This is interesting to hear as well. I have a short tent at 4.5 ft, so the light is always at the top. Works pretty well in the Veg stage but as soon as it starts to grow up into late veg-early bloom is where I see issues. But that could be a function of getting too close as well.

I have the HLG QB288 135W now and will do my next grow with that and see how it compares. I have also ordered some Citizen COBs online and will be replacing the Roleadro Cobs when they come in. But I may just have to bite the bullet and buy a taller tent...and might as well go bigger while i'm at it :p

Sorry for the diversion @MassMom

Its not a diversion or hyjacking hon, I love it when my peeps chat!!
:bighug:

Thanks @MassMom for the kind words, I freaked out when @MedCzech mentioned the cobs that I was using! I am going back into your journal, very interesting, I haven't got to your day 50ish yet, but I will. Happy Growing---:jointman:

Since we have @MassMom 's blessing...
What levels/range of lumens do you use for the various stages of growth? I have a cheap light meter that i've played around with a bit to test relative intensities but I would love it if I could put it to better use in my grows

Light levels.
Seedlings max 4500 lumens
Early veg. max 15000-20000
Late veg-preflower max 25000-50000
Early flower max 45000-70000
Mid-late flower max 60000-130,000

You need at least 50,000 to grow some decent buds, but some can climb very high into the light and get into the 120-140000 range. Different strains will react differently to the light.

Feel free to ask any more questions. I am sure you will have a few. No worries!

Much appreciated! I’ll use this as a reference and test with my lights on my next grow.

DAY 92
Harvest day for Dutch Passion Auto Mazar lady number one!!

Trichomes were getting amber, so I harvested the bigger of the two ladies. Wow....lots of sticky~stinky buds! My darn fingers and scissors were glued together. 7.4 ounces wet off her...I'm so excited! Took my daughter and I about 2 hours to finish her up . I have the buds drying on the rack inside the tent, and the trimmings are in a bowl to dry in the oven and make some ganja goodies. I will harvest plant number two in the morning.

I am sure you already rolled your fingers together and made a hash bugger out of that and smoked it. :clapper::clapper::clapper:

:slap:

Harvested Auto Mazar lady number two today....she was smaller so I did not expect as much as I got on her sister, but ended up getting 4.1 ounces wet  Total for 2 plants = 11.5 ounces wet. Over half a pound!! I have all buds drying and will take a dry weight once they are all done, This week I will get my jars and humidity packs ready for curing. I am still not quite ready to start any new babies. I want to get tent and everything clean, then will start my Auto Gorilla Glue OG babies soon.
