Indoor Mephisto, ALF #5 x Azian Haze CBD, Jem...

Thank you, I think they are doing ok, even if not hydro giants. Seems like at around day 15-18 they really start getting going as the pistils start showing up, at least for me it has been really consistently at about 18 days. I have also been considering a larger T5 fixture and a tent to fit it, so I have plenty of space for doing veggie starts as well. Fingers crossed for yours being a girl! Limey biscuits? Now that sounds like a crazy combo :smoking:

They are coming along well. I think the light intensity so young is sometimes stressful. I’ve had some issues with my cobs too close before and some plants had very droopy leaves.
My next group of plants will start under a T5 , just to compare.
Looks like a full house once they get a move on.
I know you like a bit of Sativa and you will love the FC. All my Sativa loving pals nudge me to grow more. It smells really unique....limey biscuits .
My Alf5x is just starting to get a move on ... looking for sex , but still a bit early.

Yeah, limey biscuits . A really bright, line citrus ..... I agree will the 15-18 day mark . Slightly slower here with temps at 72-74 consistently.
I just received a some lovely portal gear and I’m itching to get another light myself. The veggies need to get started this week..., especially the peppers.

I'm glad you just mentioned temperature because I am running a bit warmer now than previous and I'm sure that made a decent difference as well. I just smoked a fat bowl of some Wedding Cake out of my pipe that came from Portal :smoking:

I have a source on some starts, so I may skip even trying this year. Plus, I don't like the seeds I have, so it would be good to find some heirloom stuff before I get sprout happy! What kinds of peppers? I am a firm believer in capsaicin, anything spicy really. Not that spicy though...

I grow multiple hot peppers... no ghost though! We are Itailian and no summer dinner is complete without Cornu de toro peppers sautéed. They are sweet red peppers. I will have a handful of those growing , I’ll also gift some started seedlings as they are more difficult to find at garden centers.
Yes, I think just a couple degrees makes a huge difference. I wish I was running more like 78f with 50percent RH but there are always challenges.

I don't think you can go wrong sautéing any peppers!

Do you think being over 80 is too much? My Platinum LED booklet said maintain 75-85 all the way through, but I was under the impression a bit cooler like 70-75 was better for flowering?

I’m sure you will get lots of different opinions on ideal temps. I like low 80’s for germ/early seedling, 80 ish for veg and slightly less in flower(75-80), but I grow perpetual and through the winter in a cold basement so I compromise most of the time, and they still finish.

I also found a huge empty sun-bleached barnacle, though not fossilized, I gave that one to my nieces (and about five pounds worth of smaller agates and quartz) as they have quite the rock collection started, at my encouragement. I thought initially that it is a Buddha statue also, but after more research and thought I am pretty sure it is Vishnu. Hinduism and Buddhism are both really interesting. Someday I would like to visit Angkor Wat and tromp all over SE Asia.

I have read quite a few people on here saying give the auto's full blast from right off the bat, but I have gone back and forth with that methodology a bit in my own tinkering and think it is wrong, personally. When you flip your switches on photo plants, and change to HPS bulb, the HPS bulb is normally held off on until after stretch, correct? I did the marigolds because they are supposed to both deter pests, which I don't have any to worry about, though I figure it is much better to be pre-emptive about these sorts of things, and because they are supposed to also speed up growth I believe.

I'm trying to remember when I grew with HPS, because I vegged under T5HO's and went right to flower with the HPS. But I also fed bloom nutes as soon as I put them into flower, I've learned a lot in the last year....

The marigolds appear to be separate, or are they in the same pots as the cannabis? I'm not trying to grill you, I'm really interested in companion planting, organics etc. as I do that outdoors with veggies just not inside and want to learn from peoples experiences.

And yes, looked like a Bodhisattva at first, but the multiple arms makes me think Vishnu. If it's Kali you may want to relocate her :smoking:

You're lucky in BC BudLady, I start my tomatoes in April, peppers in May or so.. And hope no frost in Spring or Autumn :cuss:

I’m in New England and like to give my peppers about 5-6 was before they go in the ground.

Well there I go, you're not even in BC :smoking:
Sounds like a similar planting schedule tho, we are much later for starting and transplanting.

Well then I should be on the right track, think I will keep things a touch warmer than I had been. I am in a garage with an insulated door, but some air passes by on the sides, though maintaining 70F or so ambient temp out there has not been too much challenge.

I’m sure you will get lots of different opinions on ideal temps. I like low 80’s for germ/early seedling, 80 ish for veg and slightly less in flower(75-80), but I grow perpetual and through the winter in a cold basement so I compromise most of the time, and they still finish.

I placed three or so seeds in each of the pots, all ten pots are for cannabis plants. Just kind of put them where there were holes in the cover crop along the perimeter. I am going to take out most of the Austrian Winter Peas when I transplant here in a bit, but leave a couple in each pot. And don't worry, you can "grill" away I prefer the questions and interactions in my thread. Pretty sure it is Vishnu with the four arms, at some point I might paint it to add some fun colors in there. I like blue better than red by a long shot, so yeah, if it's Kali she be gettin' the boot!
