The best home decarb without a fancy decarb machine like the Ardent Nova ( I finally have one ) is in the oven. set the temp to 250F
( if your oven runs hot or cooler, adjust accordingly ). bake for 27 minutes and remove from oven immediately. Every minute longer at this temp or higher is degrading the cannabinoids. Now the information this is based on is scientific, but it was based on decarbing a solution. Still its the best information we have to go by when using home methods and is more accurate than any other.

am i confussed are we talking decarb temps or smoking/vaping temps ? both

Thanks

I completely agree. The only thing I would say though is that in some instances such as trying to get a specified effect that higher temperatures could help. I assume that those guidelines were meant to be a medium ground for maintaining the majority of the 180 plus different cannabinoids readily available. I’m one of those that doesn’t mind losing some of the energetic cannabinol for certain tinctures. So I have no problem cooking them out of small samples for nighty night meds.

I know I can go with CBD specific strains and I can look for strains that better suit my needs. But I think time and temperature gives us a great way to fine tune those that might not be perfect for myself or family members.

What I’d really like to see( maybe I haven’t found it yet) would be a chart that allows us to know exactly what temp we are able to lose or keep certain cannabinoids, Terps etc. or what temp certain compounds are converted out of their acid form.

I think that the most important thing to look into for anyone that has not yet would be the numerous type off effects that you can get out of the exact same flower depending on preparation and consumption.

I for one was amazed to find out that our lungs ( inhalation) blood (tincture/ sublingual) or liver (edibles) can effect the effect. Combine that with the decarb variations and there is a lot of self experimentation we can do to fully realize the multiple benefits of the plant. I think sticking flower in rolling papers and combusting at high temps is probably the biggest waste of most of the cannabinoids. Although it is usually the most fun.

I’ll try to get some update pictures tonight.
Had some of the Megabuds Fast Master photos sprout yesterday. Supposedly it’s their cash crop strain. Gonna run a cycle or two of that this winter and see if the Megabuds guys have something there.

Thank you for sharing

Hell year @archie gemmill
That’s the chart

I think we are kind off talking about both but without specifics. More along the lines of having choices and variables that we can manipulate.

I know that my low temp decarb leaves things racy vs longer and hotter. And I know from my experience with the dry herb vaping it does the same. All anecdotal and not scientific at all. I think we/I was just trying to help answer @Archaic wuestion about making tincture more sleepy.

Thank for the chart and your input
