Nutrients Megacrop / Great White / Hydroguard for a simple DWC setup?

I disagree with that germination method but that is just me.

If you are using one of those 8" net pots that are also a lid for the bucket they dip too far into the bucket limiting water volume to ~3 gallons. A 5 inch Current Culture net pot will give you almost another gallon of space in the res.

I start with 1g per gallon MC, 2 ml HydroGuard and some kelp. How will you be top feeding to get the roots into the reservoir. They will follow a constant stream of nutrient solution the fastest, Bubbles from underneath and hand watering can take days longer.

thanks for this!
I would top feed with a spray that I would fill from the res with those nutes.. would spray cube lightly but the rocks more to get the roots moving.. would aloe juice be as effective as kelp?

also, I recently decided to move this to a 8 gallon DWC setup for PA hydroponicsLink
Very similar to the current culture solo.

I am assuming that it would take 6 gallons or so to fill within a 1/2 inch of the net pot, which is how much I would want to fill right? Enough to cover the bottom layer of hydroton

Also, curious to your thoughts on the germination method? I figure that way would be better to keep the Rockwell in the netpot instead of germinating via humidity dome and transferring.
As always thanks for your advice..

I've tried a multitude of germination techniques.
Some better than others, depending on the age of the seeds.
I'm not a fan of long soaking.
A quick soak in water with either 2% GA3 or kelp works well for old or stubborn seeds.
I do prefer seeds soak and direct to soil.
The paper towel approach is ok at best.
But does damage to the taproot at a very critical time in the plants life.
