New Grower Medi's Medical grow

Yeah man. even in a small way if the strain isn't capable of it'll still get more dense and heavy if ya hit it with a faat bloom n carb Tea..well I did and late flower, prior to juust cutting.,ya she got dense, well formed buds.everytime I look at my Tangelo Buds ,Im always Proud when I roll one up.all the buds are dense and well formed too and I did exactly that about three weeks prior to stopping and rinsing my soil."AFN smoke out""AFN smoke out""AFN smoke out"

That was my thinking behind top dressing last week, I figured it was going to be a few weeks and that would get them the rest of the way as well as reinoculate their micro population. Now I'm hoping that by just adding water and a dose here and there of CAMG+ to help with transport I'll be running through the top dress and get a nice clean/smooth smoke at the end.

Yeah I wanna try a spike this grow of my own making with a light Guano and a few other things mixed with a combination of sand but very thin like a pixie stick in three places around the pot.i think that would be cool.and a well done spike is supposed to be killer.I could do it bout 3 or even prolly 4 weeks out. plus the 2-3 week Rinse...HELL ya bro!!:Sharing One:

I've been thinking about how I would do that, I've seen actual spikes and others do layers. I think I might just keep it simple this time around and do the 30 day cook at around 75-80 degrees, top half Happy Frog, bottom half TLO, and just hand feed some teas here and there to keep the micro life nice and healthy. I'll start adding new things in subsequent grows and over time I'll have it down. One thing I'm going to enjoy this next time around is not having to chase my tail with ph all the time.

I hope you're planning on laying out all the details of your soil & teas in your next journal. I need an idiot proof guide!

I will for sure, though there are better recipes for the soil, I chose not to use blood and bone meal for personal reasons and found the best substitutions I could find, but these are both excellent sources of N and P respectively. You could follow TGA Subcool's recipe to the letter and grow some great ganjja, everyone swears by it.

oh yeah I totally get that man.Pathogens, ethics stance, tiz all good brother.the only thing bout subs pure recipe is its quite hot.run a slightly larger plug or tier into.as long as your sure its good,Im sure its good and stoked for ya.the only one small thing I would do different...is that,Id cook it for 45-60 days personally.gives it a chance to buffer and blend better.mix it and add to it if ya want n let it go for another 30 after the first 30.I did that and I thought my first batch smelled good.I was really taken aback cuz it smelled yummy sweet.so nice.I mean overly stinky sweet.wierd. but the 30 day is minimum time as ya know.I just feel atleast a 45 days cook leans better to a more even mix is all."AFN smoke out""AFN smoke out" i got my grow started..Im excited..lol TLO yo

One of the things I'm struggling with is the whole imperial thing. Cups, quarts & gallons. As a UK grower it's confusing. The availability where I am is not great either. I've been to all the garden centres in a 20 mile radius, got laughed at asking for bat guano. Organic also seems to be a foreign concept as well.

I hear you on it being hot, I figured that between the fact that my box isn't at the suggested 60 degrees to cook it slowly, it's actually in the closet my tent is in, and the fact that I actually went with a milder mix of amendments it might be ready at 30ish days but I'll get a PH reading of it when it's closer to time and see if it's in that 6.2-6.8 range if it's not, like you said, another 30 days. I'm not going to be in any real hurry to get started again, I love growing but I'm in no hurry to have a troublesome grow! Thanks a lot EoF, I'll definitely be keeping all that in mind.

So there are 4 quarts as well as 3 liters to a gallon. There is around 120ml to a half cup(that should help you calculate down and up from there). As for availability, everything I got for my mix I got from Amazon, are the UK offerings on Amazon significantly different? I'm sorry my country uses such a shitty measuring system, once I learned there were UK members I immediately switched to using either both IMP/MET or just metric. I've been a big proponent of switching, our White House petition got shot down :\ I'd like to buy the world a 591ml Coke :-D

EDIT:> A basic version of the recipe.

30 liters potting soil
3-6 lbs worm castings
283 grams steamed bone meal
283 grams bat guano
283 grams blood meal
170 grams rock phosphate
22.5 ml epsom salt
15 ml dolomite lime
15 ml Azomite
15 ml humic acid

Edit2: Obviously the above recipe doesn't include mycorrhiza, something like Great White will work fine, I used a few different sources, but any with more than one source of endo as well as ecto is a safe bet I'd think.
