When you say underdeveloped do you mean premature or just stringy/airy?

On an unrelated note my BAM/AKR beans came in today and I ordered all my super soil ingredients this morning so grow 2 is now fully funded and on its way!!!

Very airy buds. Larger internode distance.

Great news with the beans man.

And your doing subcools supersoil mix still right?

Well mostly but I'm replacing the bone meal and the blood meal with feather, alfalfa, kelp, and seaweed. Other than that it's got everything in sub cool's recipe plus a couple extra things.

Great news with the beans man.

That blows man, but if for whatever reason that happened to me it wouldn't matter too much as long as it was frosty since I just grind and vape anyway, but the loss in yield blows for sure. And thanks!! I'm pretty excited to basically be growing the auto version of Skywalker!!

.: Day 55 :.

Water/Nutrition

Today has been a productive day, I took a ride today to get some organic blackstrap molasses at a whole foods store to replace my regular unsulphured stuff from wally world. The numbers for minerals are astronomically higher in the blackstrap so I was looking forward to giving it to the girls which I did this afternoon for my wet/wet portion of the cycle they got the blackstrap plus a regular dose of sensizym for maintenance.

Lighting

I decided the extra LED wasn't really worth the additional energy expenditure, plus it was adding 4 degrees to my tent and I've been happy to keep it under 80 degrees for the bulk of the girl's lives so far so it was an easy decision.

MISC

So what I had thought was a good natural fade is looking to be progressing beyond that and may be nearing the nitrogen deficiency level soon. I'm thinking next watering I might throw some bio-grow in with the bio-bloom, and topmax. Does anyone see a problem with that, and if so what would you suggest as an alternative? The way I see it is if the girls aren't getting enough N to support normal leaf maintenance then adding enough to stave off yellowing of all foliage shouldn't be a problem but I'm not exactly Jorge Cervantes either :-P Anyway that's what I got for now, I would have waited until tomorrow to post but wanted to get this question out. I took some flash lighting only photos tonight to see if it helped add contrast for the buds to show through, and I'm pretty happy with the results it's been driving me nuts that what my eyes see and what the camera sees are such different things. I'm rambling, take it easy folks.

Try a little and see what happens...do your bloom nutes not have any N in them?

It's 2-7-4 but for whatever reason that doesn't seem to be an agreeable amount of Nitrogen for Thing 2, Thing 1 is fine as is. Not really sure what that's about, Thing 2 has a different more skunky smell, a more sprawly disposition, and now is sucking down Nitrogen like a Sativa. Such a massive swing in phenos between the two beans.

Between the more mineral enriched molasses and a little bit of veg nutes, I bet it will come back around....

Thanks for the comments on the tent, I will definitely be looking at that model for my next grow. Just installed my Reflector today so I am excited to see how it does compared to my CFL's. One other question is where did you get your SCROG net?

Thanks again, I have really learned a lot from reading your journal.

I wouldn't say they are problems, but yeah I've had odor, and I'm sure a carbon filter would eliminate 99% of it. I've been using an Ona block outside the tent(in the closet) and an ozone generator in the room outside the closet, and so outside of my bedroom there is no smell. I'll pop in to your grow and have a look. The tent is incredible in terms of quality for the price there is not a single thing I'd change about it. The Reflector series light has done right by me as well, so again nothing I would have done differently.

If you're going to try some bio grow keep it small, I'd say a max of 1ml/l. How much bloom you using?

I made my SCROG net using paracord. If I had the opportunity to do it all over again I might have chosen a stiffer material like maybe weed whacker line for example. If you want a good video on how to make a good one you could try THIS video out.

That's the hope man, we'll see I guess!!

I've been giving the Bio-Bloom at around 1ml/l and the same with the topmax because I've also been feeding big bloom up to now, now that the big bloom is done I'll probably go up to 2ml/l of the bloom, and stay 1ml/l for the topmax. This next watering though I'll probably give 2ml/l of the bloom and a total of 2ml of the grow per gallon with 1ml/l of the topmax. Thanks for the advice gman.
