New Grower Medi's Medical grow

The things that intimidated me (about scrogging) were watering the plants and the fact that, for all intent and purpose, you can't move them once they are intwined...

I'm checking out your scrog pics, trying to learn a lil' something' before I get to that point, and it looks like the tops are left to grow straight up. Is that the case, or are they eventually bent under the net, too?

Long story short is that you want to let them get about an inch or two above the net and then move them to the next hole over, let them grow another inch or two until they can reach the next hole over, etc. The idea with scrogging is that you are using it to spread all of the peripheral branches away from the main cola, but to do that they need to be talked into growing, which you do by bending the main cola and getting the growth hormone to go to lower branches. Hope that answers your question.

ps. glad that video helped!

To be honest when the net was lower watering was a major pain in the ass but I ended up finding a really cool watering can that is quite short with a long spout that can hold a liter so I mix my solution up in a gallon jug and then transfer about a half liter at a time to the watering can and water each plant with that. As far as not moving it that's actually a benefit in my mind because the less you move them the less chance something could go wrong(drop, crush, dog, etc.)

RH: 48%

Day 49 from sprout

They've been filling in nicely the last couple of days, I went ahead and gave them about a two day dry period which for this phase of the grow is quite dry. I've been noticing I'm using a wet/wet/dry technique where I water two days in a row followed by a two day dry period. It sounds like a lot but they're using up a lot of water so it really isn't. As for feeding I gave them Molasses and the second to last dose of Big Bloom I have left when I got home from work today. Not a whole lot more to report really, things have been quite smooth and no big issues have come up, I've been keeping things really clean in the tent, and picking up after them when they drop leaves, and tucking a few times a day but other than that I haven't had to do much to keep them happy. Anyroad I hope you all are having a good grow day! Peace

Looks SO good, Medi....:) Every leaf looks like a prime example of health...nice

You're going to have a nice yield too, so many of those sites are getting quality light. :)

Thanks Trap, they're not quite at Queen level, but they're looking good all the same, the trichomes have started up in the last couple days on the lower bud sites, and a little bit up top so it should get better from here out, with 26 days left to hit the 75 day mark I'm feeling good about things.

I don't know about that...apples an oranges...I bet you end up with more than twice as much as me....

I completely forgot to mention that I ordered the beans for my next grow. I decided on Blue Automazar this go around, I've wanted to grow blueberry since my very first grow back in '98 but never got around to getting seeds from Europe(until now obviously). DJ Short is sorta my hero. Anyway it came with 1 free World of Seeds Afghan Kush Ryder Autofem, so I'll be growing two bam's and then 1 bam and 1 AKR though I'm not sure in which order.

Hey everything is looking impressive! I am about 30 days behind you in my grow but i just ordered a topled 150w reflector and seems like your led has worked well. Do you like the tent? I know you mentioned odor problems but would a carbon filter help? Any light leaks or issues with the tent fabric?

I have a carbon filter but am still smelling a slight odor during veg like you but i am using a cabinet grow space. I was thinking of that same tent for the future.

Thanks

I think I'm getting what you're saying. Just to be clear, though, the main branch is also bent under, correct? Place the net about a foot above the surface of the soil, and when the main branch has grown about an inch or two taller than the net, bend it under, and do the same with all the peripheral branches. Sorry for seeming so dense, I just gotta double check, or else I will 2nd and 3rd guess myself when it comes time to actually start scrogging
