Indoor LOWRYDER 2 first grow UK

Ive copied a guy called BBG with his super sexy LST on bubblegum....Ive secured her stem and bent the living daylights out of her at 90degrees....the leaves are touching the soil is this a problem?

Going to wait and see what this does.... im hoping to take the new growth as it comes around the pot and curl it inwards....no more posts for a week. just pictures to show my progress if i see any.

good night

You will see shoots coming out of the side of the side branches and between nodes. These are the bud sites that you will need to train in order to produce a big yield. I like the idea of training the plant around the pot but in my opinion with Autos its just not really possible as they get too bushy, which leads to not being able to see the pot or managing to tie down the plant to the pot.
My advice would be to train her right across the top of the pots and when she out grows that train her to something in your grow room. For example when my babies out grow the pot I tie a piece of string from on pole to the next pole in my grow tent creating another thing to use to train your plants. Great idea by the way i hope it works for you whatever you decide.

the leaves are touching the soil is this a problem?

It's really hard when you lst to not let any leaves touch the soil. What i would do is try and very gently move them so they arent touching anymore, or if you dont want to do that, try to prop them up on something so they arent on the soil during watering. I used lego haha!

Saying that, i am by no means an expert and i would hate to see you damage your plants through bad advice, those little leaves are super delicate! Sorry if this isnt much help, my wake and bake this morning was a bit heavier than i had contemplated....

I found the leaves will turn up towards the light, so they lift themselves off the soil after a few hours.

gman u truly are 'g'man. They lifted and grew over an inch... upon repositioning the slightly smelly lady i saw new growth of a leaf get mould and the baby growth had to get removed. sad news also that when putting in my hooks i tore a leaf of.

second plant im just hooking new growth no bends just gna make all bit of growth down to pot level and grow it out there.

itl make sense in a week.

have a good weekend

Well, here is a picture of what she looks like, the newest 1"-1.5" was rising up so I flattened her and brought her back to the soil, it's literally mm's space between stem and soil. What do you think? (leaf rotting due to moisture in soil? too low? do 90 degree bend but keep more space between stem and soil?)

What would you do differently? I will use the suggestion on the second plant....

Yeah man it looks like the leaf may be rotting due to it being to close to the damp soil. Next time try start the initial Lst bend a little higher so that you create more of a gap between the stem and the soil. A good way of doing this is actually having your lights a little further back than normal so that the plant has to stretch up a bit. This gives you more height to play with and way more space to bend the plant properly. I hope that helps man.

good idea...never thought of that. Thanks o grim o pal

Day 10

so i fucked up with the biggest one by bending her 90 so close to the soil. the next one has 1 - 1.5 inch gap between soil and stem.

Come back next saturday for pictures...

Nice one! At least thats one mistake you will never make again! Looking forward to the pics
