Indoor LOWRYDER 2 first grow UK

The bigger the pot the bigger the yeild? What do you guys think about this statement?

That is absolutely the case. Everything else being the same, a 5 gallon container will give better yields that a 3 gallon container.

Of course, genetics, light intensity, etc, etc has a tremendous effect but putting two identical plants side by side under the same conditions the larger container will yield more.

Generally yes the bigger the pot the bigger the yield. A 10L pot will by far outgrow a 6L pot. A 20L pot will outgrow a 10L pot.

Of course that's generally speaking.

If you had a 6L pot and you had loads of them all close together like a SOG and flowered cuttings straight from rooting you'd end up with a nice harvest in a short space of time.

Sorry for serious reply I'm straight as an arrow right now :)

Nice journal bro, would love to see a pic of your cab, is it for stealth? You can grow some nice bud with CFL's in stealth cabs no worries! And yeah, pot size does have a big influence on plant size and yeild, for pretty much any plant, but it's not exclusive. I grew in a cab, with CFL in a 6ltr pot and pulled an ounce, could have been more if I knew what I was doing.

Grim and the dudes here got your back, much karma for your grow, looking forward to seeing your results!

Dazed

I'll post a pic of my setup tomorrow, its nothing professional, and doesn't have anything fancy.

3800 lumens enough?

I was having a clear out and saw my CFL bulb packages they say 30 w 1900 lumens...i have two of these... is it enough for veg stage? Gut is telling me i need 2 more and see what gets me more lumens per watt... how much (lumens / cfl) will be enough for a flat canopy of lowryder x2?

Yes that will be enough for veg as long as they are blue 6400k. I sometimes veg with a 42w blue with no problems.

cheers guys...i think my bulbs r daylight as they r bright white.
Ive done a bit of research and found that the bulbs i have are fine but flowering will need extra bulbs for dark spots where the light is not being shown on and that flowering will be a bit slow

can i just take this time to say thank you to everyone for all your input...you've all been amazing.

Rep points to all you friendly growers. God bless u and may u all have fat buds...

Bright white looking bulbs are the blue spectrum, red spectrum for flowering look a little "yellower" the more CFL you can use the better, buds will develop but the density of them very much depends on lumen count (amongst other things). When growing with CFL it's a good idea to LST and get an even canopy, you can get the tops pretty close then. I had a 300w dual spectrum CFL in my old cab and added 42w of red for flowering, I was happy with the results. I have to say, have you looked into LED? Much much better results, less heat and less cost. Just a FYI bro,
