Its just jugs of water. If I leave them out of the tent there like 55 degrees I assumed that was less then ideal.

My rez is just a black plastic tub with a lid. Keeps the light out. I keep an aquarium heater in it to keep it at 69. Works great and my garage stays 45-55 in the winter. Never had algae in it. I use this one. $35

Got life on a couple of the clones I was beginning to wonder if they were dead or alive looks like two of Oreoz x Bahama paints got roots to the bottom cups and foliage colored and perked up

Thanks bro yeah those were the ones I hoped that if any made it that they were it. I have really enjoyed growing the original the first time and now this cross is about the same super easy to grow

What would one use to stop algae from growing in water? I been keeping my water in my tents to keep them warm to water. And maybe help with adding a little humidity as it evaporates. But the jugs keep getting algae growing in them. Is like to stop that and if I use these self watering bases here soon they will do the same thing Im assuming. Id like to be prepared if they do anyway.

Green algae needs light to grow. If you block the light it will stop. Or use opaque jugs. The algae doesn't seem to hurt anything, but it does look nasty. I've just been changing my jugs frequently if they turn green.
