What would one use to stop algae from growing in water? I been keeping my water in my tents to keep them warm to water. And maybe help with adding a little humidity as it evaporates. But the jugs keep getting algae growing in them. Is like to stop that and if I use these self watering bases here soon they will do the same thing Im assuming. Id like to be prepared if they do anyway.
Only cure is less light, but that would also mean less vapor. If you are worried about it, keep the nutes out of the tent, and add humidity another way. I doubt that a bit of algae would hurt much, but lots of it might use enough nutes to screw with your nutrient balance.

I would keep the nutes out of the tent, or inside light proof containers if you really want them to be warm. I have never bothered keeping the nutes warm, and I get decent results anyway. I doubt that it makes much difference.

Good luck with it. :pighug:

Couple drops of peroxide should do it

Its just jugs of water. If I leave them out of the tent there like 55 degrees I assumed that was less then ideal.

Fried or stewed?
Raw, heart first

Use containers that aren't clear light makes the algae grow :d5::pass:
