Okay, peoples...I did NOT cut off the whole thumb, just a little piece of it...okay, it's about a two inch scar. Funny how you don't notice how much a thumb is used, until it gets abused.

Damn. Food talk, again! I've been trying to wait until later in the day for feeding time....because once i start, it's chow until bedtime. It's taken a year to lose about thiry pounds. Thinking about not partaking in holiday feasts, cuz for sure, the diet will go over to the dark side.

@Mossy, was watching a vid about the farmer in the UK and heard the term stamp duty. Never heard that before. Looked it up and property tax rates came up. 5% from 250K pounds to 625K pounds. That's insane!!!! 400 is 20,000 a year. Holy Shite!!!

Hey @Buzzard Any idea what kind of bird this is? Bad pic but it's sleeping and I don't want to wake it up. This is a house finch nest that's been vacant since the middle of the summer. This bird is sleeping in it at night all of a sudden the past couple days but it's gone during the day so I never see it. It's in a fern on my porch. It's got a long skinny beak you can't see in the pic. I'm in NJ

I have no idea. This thing is from the 90s. I clean it with iso and it gets some kinda grey stuff that I wipe off with qtips and paper towels

When aluminum oxidizes it makes white powdery residue. On anodized aluminum masts in a saltwater environment it's very noticeable around where stainless screws have been drilled and tapped into the aluminum. The white powdery aluminum oxide can lock the threads and make it very hard to get the screws out later. It may be because the anodized coating is compromised where it was drilled, or galvanic action between 316 stainless steel and the aluminum.
