What am i looking at? is that how someone treaded a pipe or is that plastic?

They threaded all the gas pipe in a 4 flat like this. The whoooole building. Idk wtf they were doin. Using the wrong size cutter on the threader??? Not cleaning the the shavings while they were threading??? Using a hand threader and tightening it on the wrong setting???

Wow I never seen anything like that. It looked like an old abused piece of scrap from the pile. How did that ever pass a leak down test? or is that why you are there it did not pass a test!

Just stays in a closed cardboard box for like the 1st 35 days. Takes up very little space. No smell and no equipment... My wife knows and didn't even remember I had anything going. Did the whole thing on a shelf in my basement but a closet would work too
