Gotta go find soil tomorrow! Local garden shop only has their most heavily amended soil in stock and its $32 a bag so even if i only put 7.5gal into the 10gal pot to start first run gonna cost $100! Was using miracle grow performance organics but its usually stored outside and i am not bringing bugs in no matter how much cheaper it is! Think 1 more garden shop like 45min away but no idea what they carry!

Dude, just get a big bag of Mosquito bits and stir it evenly in and let it sit for a week. That should kill any fungus gnat eggs.

Another option you could do is heat the soil. Use an old oven and heat pans of soil at 500* for an hour.

That would take forever for 30gal of soil!
