There are a bunch of luthier schools. Checked into years ago so there has to be more now. Apprenticeships are always more hands on and specific to what you want to do. I think @Kyote has built quite a few guitars.

Something I always wanted to do, but never got around to doing it. I build mid century style furniture so got everything I need todo it...

To build guitars you need Luther tools too. I looked into putting on a new nut myself and each file is 30bux and you need 6 different ones for each string size. You file where the strings go. Look into stumac they sell them. I think because its a specialized market that can get away with charging 30bux for a file. But I decided I'm just gonna have the music store do it because its still cheaper then buying the tools. Btw building furniture is cool. Be cool to sit in your own creation

A question for the seniors here…-

If you could pick an education and make it your dream, I mean - there is A LOT of subjects out there to choose from, but if you could just pick one specific subject, what whold it have been?
What would you have done 20-30 years ago?

I have two schools of thought on education. One would have been the desires of a youth and the other as old guy retrospective, each would have ended up gratifying.
The desires of youth was an Engineering Degree from MIT. Mechanical and not Civil, but I do like Civil a lot.
Old guy Retro would have had to have been a damn Aggie! Plant research! Not just because I'm growing canna now. LOL! Canna is just my newest plant to try and master.

Mom's ward Doctor said I should have been a Vet with all the tales Mom would tell him of my animal escapades. I could see that.

Could have never been an astrophysicist. I don't think I can smoke that much canna to try and pull something from my ass, to explain something that conflicts with one aspect of my theorem.








......................that and I tend to transpose numbers sometimes in equations when high, so reliable calculations are out da door............and be frustrating AF. Couldn't tune fer poopy while high, until an update automated most calculations.!
Bet that Asian Haze would have let me hear that engine better.
