Well, I had to break down and buy a seedling heating mat. That's the only thing I can think of why I've had three fails in a row!
The temps have changed.
So what's the best temp to set it at with a starter and a dome?

I set mine at 75

There's no reason to abandon conventional organics when using KNF. They blend quite nicely. Those BAS topdressings are quite nice.

Try this: Next time you feed, make compost tea and be sure to some Thorvin Kelp in the mix. Add your KNF amendments to the tea and apply. I grind mine into a powder and add it directly into the water in the tea. I'll filter it out and feed to the worms in the pot or bin.

Yeah I know I just have gotten lazy I used to use WCA, WCP, A, and OHN. The only one I have left is OHN which if I remember to use for seed starting. When I was using them I used them with the same soil and amendments I use now. Just ran out and never made more. I never went on the adventure of OMI although its on my to do list. Hmmm...I should probably make some LAB have not done that in awhile.

Morning kittens.......another day, another .25 cents, adjusted for inflation. Not as chilly this morning, comfortable with a light jacket. Supposed to be pretty cold this weekend so fingers crossed my vines I put out last month have settled in enough to get through it. Wife's vines are starting to throw out climbing threads so gonna have to get em out of my tent soon. Ordered a 20 x 48 heat mat and shower curtains to cobble a makeshift greenhouse on the front porch for them. Anvil looking a bit peaked so gotta do a lil diagnosing, I know I gotta up the N as it never really greened up good. Ph has always been spot on and meter calibrated at start of grow. Probably got my water mix out of wack. Should just stick to RO with no tap. Nothing yet on the seed front but it's only been abit over a day. HF on the porch so I'm ready to fill the pots as soon as they show their heads. Not sure if I want to stick with MC or try the AN ph perfect I have on the shelf but I got at least 3 or 4 weeks before I have to decide....as normal I'll do what I can, break when I want to......and the coffee is good as usual.

I set mine at 75

I'm running 79 in the tent now, Looks like that should be fine. I mist the lid every few hours.
Now, the temp they see could be lower than the ambient temp with the humidifier in front of the air inlet and the flow does hit the starter planter.
When I started the current girls, the starter was more in the center of the tent and more out of the air flow.
Maybe the Latent Heat of Vaporization keeps it too cool?

Mine been fluctuating 72 to 80 on the cable box.....check it during the day probably more than I should.

The heat has to be the variable. I'm pretty regimented in the way I do things and that's the only variable.
I have to get it sorted before the solo cup grow starts. It will be here next Monday.
