Sounds like a good place to start. Safety issues need to be # 1
This whole place is a safety issue lol. As it is, only the pups go in the dining room anyways, I hardly even go downstairs unless it's to go in the fridge or to leave all together. The railing definitely isn't going anywhere, its quite a tight fit, mostly it just looks stupid now with the missing spindles. Waiting for lumber prices to come down a bit before framing out any more walls, replacing flooring, or building cabinetry.

Oh dear Alice hasn't aged well has he!:crying::rofl:
Who can be the first to name the TV character in the picture!
10 rep point to the first!

I think of all the safety issues, the carpeted stairs are probably #1 at the moment, as the little has slipped on the carpet more than a few times lately and I cannot tell you how many (quite painful) jabs I've gotten from putting my heel down square on the tack strip. They also used masonry nails to nail down the treads for whatever idiotic reason, so the treads have (unsurprisingly, due to the shape of the nails and the fact that they're not meant for wood on wood) popped loose. The nail were up almost half an inch when I took the carpet off last night, and when I would nail one back down the others would pop right out. Looks like I'll be buying more 3" deck screws lol.

I lived in a townhouse with carpeted stairs that I fell down half asleep…..just had socks on, fell from the very top step all the way down and dislocated my ankle…..:cuss:

Know all about that. Been waiting for the drop so I can finish up some things around my place.
The wife wants white passion fruit vines now so I gotta drive 50 miles south and get some....oh joy.
