I guess I don't now the answer to that I add some compost to my soil when I top dress but I just top dress it on the soil and water through it.. It may not be a bad idea to add perlite to help prevent overwatering but the most soils come with a decent amount
I have some home made compost, I will mix with soil. Do you know how big a hole I should I make, per plant. Also, should I add some perlite I don't want the roots to drown
Hello again!
It's been a few years but my health has improved enouph that I can grow again.
Replaced the 2x2 with a 3x3 and am trying DWC for the first time. To simplify the learning curve I have 2 clones, each in their own bucket. After 5 weeks of veg, I flipped the lights last week.
I am taking chances on old nutes, but I put each bottle into an ultrasonic bath to make sure everything is dissolved. The girls look happy, and so do the Kratky lettuces, so I guess it's ok.
I know I'm confused if your going to plant it in soil in a pot then about 1/4 in deep...you know one of those small seed holders you get with a order? Take one poke it in the soil take out place seed in correct and cover? If outdoor I'd say till till you drop. About at least a foot..lol don't plant the seed that deep.... hope this helps..
Again hard for me to answer that I grow indoors only for the most part and in pots.. I typically run 4-6 plants in my 4x4 and 2-4 in my 3x3 View attachment 1613601View attachment 1613600
