Well gro peeps, the hot weather has finally caught up to us. One local wildfire has already caused some friends to evacuate, and more thunderstorms are in the forecast this afternoon and tomorrow. It looks like our summer is going to get tense.

Our friends likely got the knock on the door and order to get out at about midnight last night. I watched and heard the storm that lit it up last night, but didn't hear about the fire and evacuation order until this morning. I had no idea until my brother phoned to ask if we were ok. He had heard on the morning news that there was a new fire, and an evacuation order near our town. Were it not for his call, we might still not know. It has been so smoky here the last few days, that the new fire has not noticeably made that different.

At any rate, the paving stone project has been displaced by evacuation prep. So far we are not threatened, but that could change if a storm lights things up nearby. Fingers crossed.
