Looks even more insane at ground level, the sunflowers are at least 10' and the sidewalk is totally gone lmao. Partridge peas that volunteered from last year are like chest high this year. I might go get a pic in a bit but it's so damn hot.
 
I took a few plants outside to topdress and add mulch to, and forgot about the chickens. One came and plucked a leaf from a brand new Mephisto auto I planted for a family member. It was about 3 days above ground and only had two leaves. Then the two of them dug into the mulch on another plant to eat my new application of Craft Blend.

I admit it's my fault. Now one of the chickens is sausage. The other one is hiding and will become sausage tomorrow.

What's funny is that they were retired. I could have made sausage out of them when they stopped laying a couple of years ago, but thought I'd be nice and let them die of old age but noooooo!
