These are the stones I'm running

Amazon product

Honestly I think a big part of my issue is that I keep the water all the way to the bottom of the net cup. I think if I want crazy thick roots I need to keep the buckets at like 1/3rd full, and the air stone makes the moisture in the bucket that keeps the root mass healthy. Because when I did kratky outside last summer I also got insanely massive roots like that.

Ok just putting it out there I also believe nutrients can make a difference if there too hot plants arenā€™t going to make more roots. Hot soil or feed(dwc) is like burning feet for plants they donā€™t like it especially autoā€™s

@Master_gRoshi did one several years ago in a 55 gallon trash can that was insane

I would love to do something like that, but I can't grow outside :-(

Would be funny to do a fucking dinosaur of a plant in my backyard with a 55 gallon drum.

I have a bunch that were used to transport fruit juice concentrate.

I'm running 600-800ppm on nutes depending on the plant. If I don't get burnt tips I slowly increase the nutrient amount.

I have a few ideas now on things to do. I don't always run silicon if I don't think the plant will be big enough to need it, but looking like that also helps with root strength too.

Currently growing a Witch Doctor x Anvil that I am going to try a few experiments with to see if I can get improved root growth.
