I've heard the big issue when you go to that size of setup is that roots will break off and then rot and cause PH issues.

Got root-root before the roots even hit the water-level

I mean, don't get my wrong. I'm getting 6 to 7 ounces per plant, I'm really happy with that. But if I can make some simple changes to improve things, I'm going to.

I'm going to drop the water level in the bucket I have my Witch Doc x Anvil in so the roots are just reaching it at the bottom, to see if the humidity created by the air stone will make the rest of the roots expand, similar to how kratky hydroponics worked for me.

Also going to add Si, which I hate doing because it fucks with ph hard, so you have to check ph every day if you use it, instead of weekly.

Why don’t you just try coco if you want to do a pound or two girls?
No risk of root-root and you basically treat it like soil, but without the risk of overwatering it.

So it seems that there has been quite the explosion in interest when it comes to folks doing DWC(deep water culture) growing. I have been growing in DWC for close to 10 years now and the reason I have chosen to stay with that method is because it is the most effective way to deliver O2(oxygen)...
