Yeah, that’s what I was telling him… He’s treating it like it’s soil, sort of. I just think it’s crazy that he’s been growing this way for two years…. And has gotten away with it for this long.

I mean, his yields aren’t what they should be in my opinion. He was asking about auto flowers, and said he heard they don’t yield well…. I just looked at his room of tiny plants and burst out laughing lmfao

Autos can do really good in a 80 day period. Get the right strain that is explosive and you can easy get 1 pound plants in 3 months, I bet there is some new strains that can deliver three, maybe FOUR pounds of quality weed in 100 days - really mature at 110 days.

OK, what in the world am I doing wrong that I don't get huge root masses like this?

I still get lots of roots, but mine never fill the bucket all the way. I mean, I'm still getting huge health plants that are producing 6-7 ounces each. But when I see pics like this its like...wtf am doing to not get that?

Am I running my bubblers too hard? Or is there some magic additive you guys are using?

And guys, I’ve seen on the internet that some of these Granddaddy Purple can double in size in the flowering phase .

From what I’ve seen I believe JP gets his that way by using the plastic bags and small pots 1 gallon. I can get my roots like that in solo’s but grow a bag never they dry down too fast. Also watering volume makes a difference he does very small amounts and if I recall barely gets runnoff for the most part

I wonder if the photoperiods I am growing now will get big enough to fill out the bucket like that. I've been looking at different trimming options, and I decided I'm just gonna top them like 3 or 4 times, and feed plenty of silicon so the branches are nice and thick.

Some folks on site have gotten incredible results with almost overloading the root zone with air….

Do a search above for “Max O2 dwc” and find the thread with pics of a rootmass that looks like what you want…. It’s just extra air

Hold up don’t get me wrong I know he does get runnoff but not every fertigation. But he does top/hand feed once a week which I’m sure gets some run when he saturates entire pot just when the irrigation is running I believe he shoots for just a little
