I remember hearing a podcast guest (can't remember who or where..) saying that the Dutch used a lot of ruderalis back in the day.. Anyone remember this or have any more info?

Gotta paint our house since it's starting to fall apart. Wife wants to paint it black and grey. Seems kinda nuts but I'm kinda cool with it. Would definitely make it stand out in public more then I like
