Afternoon @blue :bighug: ....how is you....?...

I'm good!!!! (heh heh) .. It's code for I'm not gonna moan and groan and bring the good vibes down!! ^_^

:bighug::bighug::bighug:

Look at the bright side - not only is it SUNNY, but we saw the Northern Lights yesterday!! (not even the smokables!!)
Must'nt gumble!

My sea-going first-aid kit included Dramamine suppositories in case somebody got so seasick they couldn't take a pill or started vomiting blood. Now it comes as a patch.
My last command was an aircraft carrier. Man that thing rode so nice it was crazy! I think that was among the greenest crew I had ever seen when we finally got the ship back to full duty. The carrier had been in the yards At Philly for several years for upgrades to extend its life.

We finished everything at Norfolk and then headed out to change port to San Diego. It takes a long while to get to number one buoy from that port. I have a third class petty officer Engineman that had never been to sea. He was already getting green behind the gills even before we passed number one buoy!

I told him to go to the doc And get some PUSSY PATCHES. I do not think I have ever seen that many PUSSY PATCHES in use!:rofl: I just didn't understand why someone would need Dramamine on a damned aircraft carrier!:shrug::rofl:
The only time I thought it got slightly rough was when we were going around The Horn. Yeah, we had waves crashing over the flight deck at one point during the transition around The Horn. I'd turn the TV on in my office and there were two stations with cameras facing forward and aft. It was pretty crazy seeing the ways crash over the flight deck up forward, but the real show was the destroyer that was our escort! I felt pity for those guys! Every once in a while you would see the forward navigation lights, but the top mast light was the most entertaining. Those boys were taking some rolls! In addition to the rolls, they were almost completely disappearing in the troughs! They had to pull into Valparaiso Chile and get their steering worked on for a couple of days! You know damn well that those boys were washing footprints off the bulkheads!:funny::funny::funny:

I really don't see how Magellan made it through with the ships that he had. That was the days of wooden ships and iron men!

Never!! We even missed them in Finland last year. Apparently they're back on again tonight but twice as strong! I just need to stay up until 11pm (pffft)

Fingers crossed! A good tip i heard was that even if you don't see them, but have heard they're around, just point and click with the phone camera, it often picks them up better than the naked eye!

First photo..St Mary's island/lighthouse is the one I'd love to see...:headbang:
