Couple crooked pictures on the wall, some books slid around on a table, and a couple small tree branches down in the yard seems to be the extent of it

in other wordz, no more damage than what the cat would do on any ordinary day, so....:thumbsup: :kitty: ppp

4.8 magnitude earthquake less then 5 miles from my house. Dogs and cat are freaking out

That's because one of those underground dumps from New York! :eyebrows: :eyebrows: :haha::haha:

Depending on the depth, you can definitely feel that one.

My two most memorable ones were both in San Diego. First one was in boot camp and I thought I was sick from just eating lunch quickly. The next one was several years later about 10 or so miles away and that one threw me out of my bed.
That one made me question of where I chose to have my apt. My apartment was right at the edge with quite a drop right past the sidewalk, I guess 60 or 70 feet. After getting shook out of bed, that thought was always there about an earthquake and the building sliding off the side of the hill.

Glad there's not damage! Do a double check on your foundation though since it's an older house. Was it a jolter or roller? Jolters are a quick one shot and rollers continue for a couple
Lasted maybe 30 seconds. I thought it was a truck driving up the street at 1st. By the time I got to the window it was clearly an earthquake. It's been raining here for a week so I guess I'll know if there's water in the basement pretty soon

4.8 magnitude and shallow, or, what @Hotfire and @Mañ'O'Green call a Tuesday :rofl:

I lived 7 miles from the San Andreas fault in Sonoma county, Let's just say the insurance wasn't cheap

God damn it, Joe!!!
I almost had a wreck and had to pull over the side of the road!

Joe Bidenopoulus??????:crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying:

I'm scanning through stations trying to find some different music. I hit this one channel and the first thing I hear was Joe saying that.:face:

Completely unprepared!:gassy::haha::haha::haha::haha:

I hit the button on the steering wheel changed the channel because it couldn't take the chance of any more silliness, I was barely able to drive as it was. I decided the best thing what's to pull over and gain my composure.:biggrin:

There are times when all you can do is just laugh.
:biggrin:

I've flown over the fault and got some quite interesting views! Looking at it from the air, you can see how massive amount energy it would be with just even a small shift.

I'm still Betting on that beachfront desert property to come through one of these days!:biggrin::crying::crying::crying::crying:

You got a roller then. pretty trippy eh! NYC news was talking about the fault line there and said it was the largest in the northeast and fairly active. Just lots of small ones. Which is good. When the smalls stop....no bueno!

Not to be a one upper, but have been 3 of the last majors in Cali. In SF for Loma Prieta in 89, was in Santa Clarita for the North Ridge in 94, and Joshua Tree in 99. All 7 magnitudes. What are the f'n odds of that...:eek2:

4.8 for an east coast is gettin up there!

So an earthquake and eclipse within 3 days of each other :cool1:
