Teaspoon is a volume measure, .125g is a weight measure, for example a teaspoon of table salt weighs ~ 6 g. but that can change with the kind of salt. a teaspoon of rock salt weighs less than a teaspoon of table salt because of the air pockets in the rock salt. Now 6g of rock salt = 6g of table salt. The lesson here is use weight whenever you can the strength of your mixes will be more accurate and consistent.
