So I talked with AC Infinity today about their smart outlet. I think we went through the app and actual operations quite well. And seemingly the plug now does not respond to any input from the controller.
And I had to go over this several times with the person helping me and I think she understood what I was trying to get across. With the way she was telling me to do things, I had to ask her the question of its major function. In my mind the only logical thing to assume was that the controller was controlling the off time By default .
In other words, with no control wire plugged in from the controller, the plug would be on.
There is a small LED light on the outlet plug that shows power supplying the outlet is energized. With no object plugged into it, the controller had no effect When turning it off and on by the app..
I don't know, but my sense is that the plug should be in the opposite configuration. I really think that the default position should be off.
After going through all the troubleshooting, the young lady said she would send out two replacements.
To be honest with you I don't know if I'm going to install them or not. I don't think they're gonna hurt that much during veg if the lights stay on. But I plan to move on to flower very soon. I definitely can't have the lights going screwy during flower!
Anyway, when they send it out I will reinstall it with the controller. Think I'm just going to start from completely from scratch and reprogram everything back into it. I don't think I'm going to plug anything into it just monitor the little LED light showing power to the circuit.
So for now, I recommend not buying the smart outlet from AC affinity until this gets solved.
