The whole landrace strain fad gets me little bit confused.. What’s the desire behind them when most strains these days are breed to be stronger healthier hardier plants no?

The land-race is where all the HARDY genetics come from... so they are a great way to build in specific traits that may have been lost or depreciated over time. Surviving thousands of years in the wild kind says something about a girl eh?
