Went to see a new psych yesterday. Opted for an in-person session as I do zoom meetings every day and hate them. It was my first visit and we scheduled a second session for today to complete the initial evaluation. Was notified this morning that a previous patient just told the office that they have COVID. Not only that, but the doctor is now showing symptoms. FML.
all things happen for a reason, it maybe a blessing in disguise my friend! dont look at it as a negative. maybe the universe is lookin out for you by not sending you in there today! hope your day gets better much love to you!

One of my friends in KY today posted asking if anyone local to them had leads on rentals under $3k. She's my age, college, with a decade plus at Mutual of Omaha and struggling to find a place she can afford. Rent costs are out of control.
Our rent recently went up and now paying $1800 for 3bdrm 2 bath + office! We have been here like 3yrs tho so our rent lil cheaper then rest of neighborhood where it runs around $2k! ;)

Figs.....can't figure out if we'll get a Bumper fruit year with all the rain......or...if they will all get mildew..........:headbang:
Poor neighbor….
Put in 2 peach trees like 3yrs ago and apparently thinks they grow without any help needed and this now makes 2yrs (both fruiting years) that they got a crop of 0 peaches! Last year they had worms all in them so got thrown away and once again this year same thing! This was next day but drove by last week and was prob 250+ peaches all over yard and even piles in the road!

Gorgeous @Mossy !! Figs are a favorite here, but would be amazing with a sliver of that famous pig ya got there.
You growing more than one variety? Nothing like pulling them ripe and warm from the sun.
Hanging in. Neuro work up tomorrow. Not looking good and likely neurodegenerative disease, and highly stigmatized…out of Fear. No relief for another day.
Be loading the pipe by 5 pm tomorrow:)
Your garden is lush!!

Yup....fresh fig....cured ham .....philadelphia cream cheese and a drizzle of local honey....Has to be one of our Favourite breakfasts........ :headbang: ..

Yup.....the exhuberance of getting the land and planting Everything......without thinking about it.... 2 green...1 black and a Yellow....

Stupid thing is...the farmer lets us Share his green ones...that's how we know we Prefer them.....:headbang:...and there is a black fig tree along the road that is at Least 40ft x 40ft....:crying:...but hey......

I Knocked them all off for a while by pruning....they Only grow on year old branches....so this year Should be a good harvest.

Sounds Stupid....but getting any diagnosis gives you something to Work on....undiagnosed your mind runs riot....:headbang:

I've given up on peaches. It's my favorite fruit, but yeah, the moths lay their eggs on the flowers so that when the fruit forms, the larvae eat the fruit from the inside. You wanna know what's super great to find? Worms in your peach jam! That's super great and no amount of "Made with Love" stickers on the jar will cause your friends to trust you ever again with homemade canned goods.

They also require trimming since flowers only form on year-old wood. We had some success with a tree that produced flowers super early in the season. That one will produce some fruit before the moths wake up. We got about a third of a crop this year and no we didn't even attempt to can any.

So, in short, this means that all the peaches you buy from the store that aren't all full of moth larvae are full of pesticides.
