I tell you one thing I've noticed with most all off these Chinese led companies. Some amazing customer service. I mean if your in the u.s. and have the late night time you can negotiate prices for hours. I'm not saying don't accept the first offer but it might benefit you to do so. If your using ****** and they try to charge you "bank fees" ask them why. Read ****** closely. Bank fees are sellers responsibility. They then have to knock that fee off the final bill. Saves a few bucks.

Hahah, that's basically how I was last night up until almost 4 in the morning try to negotiate if I should get two smaller ones for more customized coverage or just the one 400w as a single unit. Hope next time I can get more information and lower price but still gonna read up on the company you posted.

I couldn't really justify buying into the 5w technology when I've seen what the growers are doing on here with the 3w chips. I mean I don't want to go bigger then the growns I've seen on here. But I would love to replicate a few. I've been dealing with "Sara" at the company I mentioned. Its funny they use fake names cause they know we can't say their real ones. Most of them speak some form of school taught English but I still can't help but to chuckle at some of the misuses of slangs.

also i'm researching "fanless" or "no fan" new products as chinese say at alibaba. i found some real stuff without fans between stated as such but really aint so, with bigger heat sinks instead of them. seems like it's my way for i'm looking minimun noise setup though i have time to wait to technology to ripe and to produce real working examples. seems for me the future od led grow is fanless!
cheers

Yup, I think I noticed you or someone talking about them earlier. I love the idea but when I researched them they seem to weigh a ton because of the bigger heat sinks. I would hate for the light beam in my tent to snap and one of those land on a plant:help: but once they figure it out it should be some great tech. I am going to use the link you gave and see what kind of numbers they are talking too.

So far I've started off with a $100 extreme flower advanced led off craigslist, I love it...

But, I've been considering pulling the trigger on another light. What do you guys think about these specs?

9 Bands for Indoor Plants Growth & Flower
Spectrum of Light: 430~440nm, 450~475nm 620~630nm, 650~660nm, and white
Real IR spectrum: 730nm
LED Output Power: 100pcs*3watt
The range of power consumption under 110V: 182W-196W; 220V: 175W-184W
Dimension: 400mm*212mm*60mm
White painted casing.
Lifespan: 50000-100000 hours
View Angle of leds: 90/120°Mixes

Finally read through this fascinating thread from start to finish. :) I must say I think a bigger LED light is in my future, especially since I have family in China who will bring me one if I ask! That would remove the shipping factor. :D

why don't we all get together for a 'quantity' order from some china co. and try and get them real cheap 1/2 price? who wants to volunteer to stay up and negotiate a price for us ..make mine a true 350/400 watter

Security reasons might make that an issue! Group buys on pot boards where members are in countries where growing isn't 100% legal probably aren't a good idea.

I'm back to indoor growing after a lengthy hiatus (aside from growing a midgrade bagseed plant under a 24W CFL in the early 2000s, I haven't grown indoors since '99). Things sure have changed! These LED lights look very promising. I've been reading obsessively and it seems 660nm supplementation will help any grower regardless of what lights they're using. I'm going to be flowering my autos under at least 220W of CFL and some E27 LED bulbs that were made for the Chinese market. Fortunately a friend has been helping me get e27 base LED bulbs that aren't really available outside China.

I've had the following made up for me: two 9 watters with three 3W emitters (blue, 630 and 650) and a 12 x 2W bulb (8 x 630 and 4 x 660). I realized what I really need is 660nm since the CFLs cover the other spectrums pretty well, so I just bought a bulb with 6 x 1W Epistar 660nm LEDs. I think that should do for now! I'm going to put the two 9 watters on one plant, the 24 watter on one and the 6 watter on the third. Each plant should get around 4 23W CFLs on it too. I'm using splitters, so each plant should share at least two bulbs with the one next to it. Since they're not F1s or clones, it's not an entirely fair test, but I think it will confirm what my research indicates.

EDIT: the dealer agreed to switch the 6W bulb to a 12W for the same price; it will have 6 x 2W emitters.
