Magic dragon Pistils

Well to my surprise the larger Magic Dragon is the first plant to show pistils! i was almost sure it would turn out to be a male due to the rapid growth in that cup. but i pretty sure i've got a girl so she wen't into a 1.5 gallon air-pot last night. there was a good bit of root circling at the bottom of her 32oz cup when i swapped her over. hope she'll spread out now!

cabinet update for my notes, noticed some small rust spots on bottom of cabinet last night so i took out plastic lining on bottom and coated it with rustoleum white paint. keep plants out of cabinet for 11 hours to make sure paint was dry and all fumes were gone. also placed plants back inside cabinet on sheet of reflective insulation which is sitting on a plactic grid to allow air movement to bottom of cabinet now. hope i didn't just kill all my plants by exposing them to paint fumes but i didn't want to have them in just normal room cfl lighting for more than 11 hours. only one plant left to sex, magic dragon #2 the oddball smaller one.

Im running a blackstar chrome with two 1.5 airpots . im only about 5 days into growth. Should i be running the light full blast because for right now i only have half the lights on?

trojan, welcome to AFN. as long as your lil ones are stretching your probably ok, but without more info about your set up its hard to give much advice, which chrome model are you using? whats the grow area? what are your temps? what are you growing? etc...
but no matter what good luck and if your using air-pots and Blackstar LED i'm guessing you've researched at least a little before your grow so good on ya, and hope you start a thread for your lil ones

smaller odd magic dragon showed sex tonight and... He's got balls. so i pulled him from cabinet. but this works out to the original plan to have three bigger autos in the cabinet. the two bigger ones seemed to have exploded overnight so apart from dying after painting they seem to be thriving. and are ready for their first light veg feeding. since this soil is supposed to be water only i won't be feeding much at all but i want these girls to get some size so they yield well. Considering the stunted mess i had last round if you've been following... I'll put up pics in the morning but its past bedtime for me. have a good night AFN

Thanks for the welcome. I have the grow lab GL60 its a 2x2 tent as for the light its the 180w chrome. I have a 4 inch fan and filter that i haven't turned on yet. My soil is fox farms ocean forest i also bought the fox farm trio nutes but haven't used them cause i wasn't sure if the little guys could handle it yet. Im growing two Dna 60 Day Wonders and 1 sugar mango ryder which i think is from world of seeds. I'm going tomorrow to get a fan and a temperature gauge so ill let you know what the temp are at. This is my first grow and I've been reading as many posts as i can that are close to what i'm doing and so far yours is the best one i found also using the new blackstars.

sounds like you've got a solid set up, just get that fan / filter goin as soon as you can fresh airflow is very important for the plants. 60 day wonder is a good choice and anything from world of seeds should be soild. just keep good notes or a journal of what you've done so you can learn as best you can from this grow. and your right about waiting on the nutes. especially with OF soil it has lots of nutes in it already and the lil ones shouldn't need anything till like the 3rd week.(then start at 1/4 strength) also in the future if you continue to use that soil u might want to mix it with something else like a peat & perlite or a seedling starter soil like light warrior to lighten the soil a little or if not a total mix then just a cup or central core of seedling stuff so your lil ones don't burn. some strains can be very sensitive to hotter soils like ffof as seedlings. and as a personal note on the chromes i've found that those lenses make it so you don't have to have the light right on top of the little ones and since its has such a central focus for the light spread cfl's can be a very welcome addition to make sure all plants are getting the light they need, and cfl give a few spectrums that LED can't. rotating plants in the tent is probably a good thing too.

growth spurt! day 19 and day 9

Easy Ryder and Magic Dragon are at day 19 today and KVS is day 9 makes keeping track so much easier to have two from the 1st of the month and one from the 10th

ER is growing wider while MD is growing taller
