New Grower Kostas' Garden of the Hesperides

Hey, Mr. Devil, your counting is correct, the cotyledon ( or the first leafy thingzis) don't count.

And about the deformations on those first leafs I don't think is a problem, since the others look good I wouldn't be worried.

Hope I helped, and I'm a newbie myself so I may say something that its not 100% correct. :)

Day 15: Things are looking better. Definitely more rapid development in the last 4 days than the first 11. Very relieved to see some progress. The stem looks to be thickening up a bit and I adjusted the circulation fan to push air over the plant . I also just realized I dont need to resize the pics a ton since you can click on them to see full size! Nice feature!

Question on "nodes." I read a lot about them and I want to make sure I'm counting correctly. Also for other new people as well, can you guys confirm this is a correct way to count?

And does anyone know what is up with the dip in the first leaves? Anything to worry about? I suspect not since the rest is growing fine.

Day 19:
Quite the improvement in the last 4 days. 2 more days and I start with the veg nutes.

Well the pics I took didn't come out at all. Have to take some new ones to upload later.

Text update for now: growing well. Definitely bushed up a bit after the top. I snipped the 5th node off and took off the bottom most 2 fan leaves. After a couple days it appears to have recovered.
I am at day 31 so just over 4 weeks and finally using waterings on the regular. Only two doses of veg nutes in and I think I am about 5-6 days behind schedule so I'll probably go the full 11 if not 12 weeks as suggested.

I'll try and get some new pics up tonight.

Pics as promised: Day 31 - looking "bushy" I think. I tied a couple of branches out to the sides a bit to try and open it up more. Really just letting it do its thing and watching. I'm thinking I should snip a few of the bottom leaves off. They are touching the insides of the pot and the dirt.

Tied the one branch out on the right. Did a couple more as well.

Looking good :baked:

Day 35: Everything looks well. Plant is starting to use a decent amount of water and the pot feels light at the end of each day. I've cranked the humidity settings down so hopefully starting to stay around 60% soon. I set the exhaust fan to run continously as I was getting a bit of noticeable smell outside the tent. I've also been taping up all the ports inside to try and seal it better. Especially the stitching around the vents.

I tested to see if I did something dumb like reverse the fan/filter. I cranked the fan speed up to 10 and the walls of the tent definitely sucked in hard. Ill just keep taping a little at a time.

I do have one pending/potential disaster.......

Little bit of disaster - snapped a branch. However, the leaves at the end don't seem to mind so I'm not going to snip it unless they start dying.

The branch: If it remains green I will leave it. If it starts to turn brown I will remove it.

I fell a little on one of my plants the other day, bent some branches but luckily no break lol. Hopefully yours pulls thru!!!

How are your temps holding running the fan more often?
