New Grower Kostas' Garden of the Hesperides

Day 78 - Sunday Jan 17th - CHOPPED!

I don't think it lasted quite long enough but the leaves on the plant were saying it was done. I would have waited a few more days but I did not have a bit of free time this week and didn't think it could go another 7 days.

I snipped a few small pieces off the small and largest buds to inspect the trichomes with my microscope. I think a very few were amber and most clear or milky. I definitely had a hard time seeing. I need to invest in a better scope with a stand. My hands and eyes could not handle the cheap manual viewer. That said I think it was a fine purchase for $11 - Carson MicroBrite Plus 60-120x off amazon. I guess I should have spent the $20-30 on the Chinese usb scopes! Heh.

Ah so, yes, I cut it down. Very interesting. I hung all the branches either on hangers or clipped to some strings. I removed most of the large stand alone fan leaves and left many smaller ones still attached. Currently 65%F and 50-54%RH. Going to leave it alone at least until Saturday, 6 days, and then inspect.

Pics: Top 2 hangers: 3 big branches and the one in the back with 3 strings and smaller branches clipped on.

Some close ups. These are both hanging upside down. Don't be fooled by my ill photoshop skills.

A little dark. I need to shoot a few more but I AM LEAVING IT ALONE AND NOT TOUCHING ANYTHING! I SWEAR!

Thanks for reading and following along. A big thanks to everyone on this forum who helped along the way, answered my dumb questions, and posted information for all to read. A special thanks to @autobeast , your guide to growing an auto start to finish made me think I could pull this off. I was terrified to even approach the subject initially but reading that thread, I felt like I could attempt this.

I have learned a lot from a lot of you. Thanks to the mods who work for free and the admins who keep this place running.

(I'll update with my curing pics once I decide on a method)

Happy harvest mate ,top work.alwaya happy to help.happy growing every1;)

Dried, trimmed, jarred, curing!
Let me try and tag everyone who helped and who I learned a ton from:
@420Forever @damien50 @Filthy_Casual @autobeast @MesaBoogie @EP3 @Mañ'O'Green @St. Tom @TxRebel/Mark @WildBill @Kyote @Proph

The important stuff, how much did I get?
89 grams 3.139 ounces

It took until about day 12/13 before the small twigs would give a satisfying "snap" but not break off the main stem. Between yesterday and today I managed to get it trimmed and jarred with some Boveda 62% packs. I think I should have done it a day or two sooner but scheduling did not allow.

Dry, trimmed, and jarred. Not counting any trim 89 grams. I cut aggressively too as it was my first time and I wasn't sure where to cut when I started. I think I possibly had right around 100 grams counting everything but I'd rather be conservative and only count the good parts. So ~90g out of a 120W Migro LED lamp. Not too bad, from what I've read 1g/watt is respectable? Almost there for a first try!

I think I'll wait until next weekend and then put at least some into the grove bags. I didn't have a great spot to trim so jars were the easiest to just drop stuff into as I went. Ill try and get some pics of the final product later on today. (and I can't wait to get my next run started!!!)

Excellent m8!! Well please for you. Result! I must have inadvertently helped without realising! Lol. Not sure I can even help myself with growing, yet. Lol
You starting again?
